Does GULC still follow this pattern:
Complete > UR (first time) > UR (date updated) > DR (a few days after UR update)
Complete > UR (first time) > UR (date updated) > DR (a few days after UR update)

This cycle it seems to have been....Burberry by Burberry wrote:Does GULC still follow this pattern:

complete> UR (first time) > UR (date updated) > UR (date Updated) > UR (date updated) > Possible DR or UR (date updated) > DR.....and then the REAL waiting begins.

Still no mail...DR 11/30 going to PA. Seriously, it's a 45 minute drive to DC! How long can the mail take?

But why do they have to wait 3-5 days to tell me I suck? Why didn't they just update my status checker to "LMFAO, yeah right SUCKER"

YES, why? We should send out a mass petition to Georgetown urging them to seriously reconsider their admissions practices, which are seriously harmful to the mental state of their potential students.

We know why. Because even though we paid $100 to not get into the school, they don't want to waste a stamp or envelope on us. So they take the extra time to scan our letters in and e-mail them.SanBun wrote:jk11287 wrote:But why do they have to wait 3-5 days to tell me I suck? Yeah the way they do things is pretty crazy if they really are just waiting 4 days to send an e-mail telling you you're out. I love schools like UT where you get information right away, and they don't beat around the bush. If you're in, out, held, or waitlisted, they let you know right away. In the process I prefer the "rip it off like a band-aide" method in getting my decisions versus the "pull it off slowly" method. Simple front office antics like this might be why schools with better communication with their applicants might leap frog GULC in the rankings.

I really think the delay is just time to scan in the letters - people who got WL'd said it literally wasn't an e-mail, it was a scan of their WL letter.riburn3 wrote:Yeah the way they do things is pretty crazy if they really are just waiting 4 days to send an e-mail telling you you're out. My GULC status checker went something like:Burberry by Burberry wrote:Does GULC still follow this pattern:
Complete > UR (first time) > UR (date updated) > DR (a few days after UR update)
11/3 - Complete
11/20 - Under Review
12/3 - Under Review
Hopefully this means I'll get my decision soon.

+1. I've got a pretty similar timeline, and it'd be nice to have at least one decision. Certainly can't count on Cornell for that this year.hoopsguy6 wrote:My GULC status checker went something like:Burberry by Burberry wrote:Does GULC still follow this pattern:

I don't think "under review" means that you will necessarily receive a decision. The day before I received my 'yes' letter in the mail, I noticed that my online status had changed to "decision rendered".

Has anyone interviewed recently? I ask because I interviewed on Tuesday and my status is still "committee requested interview."
