Re: U Penn 2010
I'm still stuck at 11/10. I would think it's a good sign if only because we both have high numbers for Penn and both haven't been updated lately. I frankly would be really shocked if Penn dinged me, b/w my numbers, Why Penn, & the fact that I'm from Philly (should help protect from potential YP). It's just speculation, but my vote is good thing.0L Hoping for 1 wrote:No RDs have been rejected that I know of though..

I'm still at 11/17, which is the first "under committee review" date I got. I would understand the three of us being WLed, but YP -> reject doesn't make much sense.maggiebre wrote:I'm still stuck at 11/10. If I get WLed from any/all of MVP I'll be so angry. I need scholarship money, dammit!puppins wrote:I'm still at 11/17, which is the first "under committee review" date I got. I will be seriously pissed. I tried so hard to convince Penn of my love for them, and would take Penn + Toll/Levy over CCN anyway.maggiebre wrote: If I get WLed from any/all of MVP I'll be so angry. I need scholarship money, dammit!

Same. Unless I get Harvard or Stanford (which I'm highly doubting at this point with no JR1) I don't want to pay full sticker. Which is why YP is the bane of my existencepuppins wrote:I will be seriously pissed. Looks like there won't be any movement today after all. My totally unsubstantiated guess is that they will do something tomorrow. I want my decision...

It's similar to the Levy but I believe there are some post-graduate public interest requirements. Which is just fine with me.hopefulundergrad wrote:I've never heard of the Toll scholly. I'm not entirely sure it would even make sense for me to take Harvard over Penn... No biglaw probably means that I should minimize debt whenever possible.maggiebre wrote: Same. As in voluntarily no biglaw? Don't people usually complain about Penn's LRAP?puppins wrote:I'm not entirely sure it would even make sense for me to take Harvard over Penn... yes voluntarily, and toll/levy would mean that LRAP doesn't really matter very much.shadowfrost000 wrote: As in voluntarily no biglaw? Don't people usually complain about Penn's LRAP?

I'm still too much of a prestige-whore to turn down Harvard (not that I'll have the opportunity). But I only will do biglaw to pay off my debt... so I want as little debt as possible.puppins wrote:I'm not entirely sure it would even make sense for me to take Harvard over Penn... Re: U Penn 2010
Anyone on here a Penn undergrad alum? I get maybe 4 or 5 emails a week that show up bold in my gmail subject line University of Pennsylvania ..... Ivy Stone Alumni Society. Miserable.
Thoughts on when the first RD calls will be? Will they even be calls?

lol you should stop by the admissions office and eavesdrop for us
Funny you should mention that. I actually work for Penn now and am literally a ten second walk from the law school. Tempted to go over there and scope things out, but I can't actually do it.

Yeah. Not like Harvard is really falling all over itself to let me in so it's a moot discussion anyway. but still.maggiebre wrote:I'm still too much of a prestige-whore to turn down Harvard (not that I'll have the opportunity).
