I'd imagine that nobody who has been deferred has heard anything since, correct?

Very convenient that they happen to have an info session one of the days I'll be there. Woot.

Also, haha, just noticed your edit. <3

Thanks, will do. I'm just glad I was able to fit it in with my trip to NYC, so I'm flying in to Philly, staying 2 days, taking the train to NYC, staying a few days there, then flying home. Aside from food/touristy stuff, this trip is only going to cost me ~$400.

aww man, you guys are too fast! did you already have the essay pre-written, or did you write a brand new one?
Did a brand new one this morning, and one last night that got trashed after finishing. Let the time spent writing it attest to its overall quality lol. A trip out there seems like a good idea too.

Dinged via status checker 167/3.4, so no surprise there. Also not sad. First rejection.

My status checker changed. Still UCR, but now today's date.

Does that mean anything?

Penn Law is my top choice and I found out last night that I've been waitlisted. Real bummer but I'm crossing my fingers and going to send a LOCI, an updated transcript and an additional essay.
I'm just nervous because my gpa went down a little this semester..

It's official; I'm in. The follow-up email arrived today, and the status checker changed to "Offer of Admission."
