Idk, I think YP is very possible. The fact that a supplemental essay was required this year probably means that a Why Penn isn't certain protection from it. I'm guessing that the fact that I'm from Philly may have helped me...

Re Hiro: there were some 173s WLed last year. Plus, a hold isn't a WL, so it may not show up on LSN.

I feel somewhat suspicious about the YP concept. We both got in with Why Penn, and other people didn't, so I dunno. What I would LIKE to be the case is that people let in early instead of held are going to be invited for named scholarships. but that is based on nothing but hope.

People like you are the reason why Penn practices YP.
You mean people who would rather just go to Berkeley than jump through hoops for the Penn admissions committee?

My bad. I didn't realize that you had been accepted at Boalt. What I meant to say is that YP is designed to sort out the people with high stats who just sent in an app for the heck of it and will say what you said when confronted by the first bit of adversity.

UCR 12/17; wondering if I'll hear before the holidays.

UCR 12/18. I'd imagine it'll be after the first of the year.

Very nice transposition work! And it's true that I'm almost certain to be YP'ed.

Interesting. I'm pretty sure you submitted after me, yet you are UR before me. Does this mean they don't go in any particular order?

Dinged via status checker.

I'm getting roughed up by this cycle. I guess I'll be re-taking the LSAT.

Dinged by status checker. Not even a remote surprise.

I decided to retake February LSAT, so I hope GUCL and my other reaches don't reject me before the new scores come out.
