Listen, you're probably right, but if I don't get in anywhere in HYSCCN, it could be awfully tough to turn down $90K.
Same here; if no marquee acceptance, it's not easy to turn down full ride + Southern California location + some cool special programs that are closely related to my interests.

Couple of people on LSN last year were certainly swayed with the $90+ offers (link).

When do yo guys have to notify UCLA that you're accepting the scholarship? Is it the same date as the first deposit deadline?

By the way, has anyone who's been accepted been ED?

I hope not. Nothing like a denial to ruin a weekend. Other than at a bar, of course.

I received a call from Dean Schwartz earlier this morning, in via Early Decision.

I love that this thread's topic ends in a question mark.

It's like, totally like California upspeak, right?

Hey Clarence, do you mind sharing your stats with us please? or at the very least whether your gpa/lsat is above their medians? which is 3.77 and 168.

I don't know how helpful my stats will be since I'm a fairly non-traditional candidate (engineering/cs major at Berkeley UG, 4 years work experience), but I had a 3.54 GPA and 168 LSAT. Good luck with your application cycle!

THANKS! =)

Well, don't pop open the champagne just yet. 168 being rejected would have been horrific news for 168s. However, for all we know, Clarence cured cancer and his/her numbers played no role.

Over 75% in GPA and over the 25% in LSAT
