Re: UCLA?
Yeah the big admissions packet I got in the mail today was the first time they'd contacted me after letting me know I was complete via email like 3 weeks ago. I live in NorCal, FWIW.GargamelITT wrote:oo, very nice!crackberry wrote:Just got into UCLA regular decision via snail mail admissions packet. edit: 170/3.9. No wonder. Your LSN stats make more sense!

Re: UCLA?
Haha I fixed my profile to accurately reflect my LSN. Both sets of numbers are very slightly off. I am 169-171, 3.90-3.95. Sorry for the confusion.UFMatt wrote:With a 163/3.2 ?crackberry wrote:Just got into UCLA regular decision via snail mail admissions packet. Re: UCLA?
OP - Feel like renaming this thread to just "UCLA" (no ?). Seems like it's become the de facto UCLA decisions thread so that would seem to make sense. Just a thought.

Re: UCLA?
Okay, I'm seriously worried now.
I applied on 9/27 and got a notification email on 9/28. I contacted them on 10/12 asking if they need more documents and they said no. They said it seems like they have everything they need but my file is just not marked complete yet. They did tell me that there will be an official email informing me when I go complete.
But I haven't heard anything from them since then! Should I contact them again? I don't want to annoy them but I'm kind of worried about my file being forgotten...

Don't worry. I applied on 9/7, got the received email on 9/8 and didn't hear I was complete until 10/14. I know some people have received acceptances before being notified they were complete. Give it a little more time.Apple Tree wrote:Okay, I'm seriously worried now.

Will probably just continue working if I don't get the money I need/want. I'm in no hurry to become a law graduate in this market.

Re: UCLA?
3.0x, engineering. So yeah, not the bestest. There's a huge sea of yellow around my stats on LSN.
Thought about this a fair bit. UCLA is my #1 choice, short of my getting in Boalt or Stanford (not happening). UCLA also said $$$ is awarded on the basis of LSAT/GPA. If they find a creative way to screw me out of money, I'll just stay at my job. Making good money vs. entering law school when the legal market is oversaturated? Its a push.

Re: UCLA?
so quick question to all of you that applied to UCLA or are applying... so I am uploading attachments.. and on my word doc on my computer my personal statement is exactly 2 pga double spaced... but when I attach it and preview my application it is 2 1/2 pgs... did anyone else have this problem, I already shortened it to the 2 page maximum and I'm kind of freaking out

Re: UCLA?
I didn't. Mine was at the very limit of 2 pages with 1" margins (one extra word pushed it to a 3rd page), and when I uploaded it it looked like I had a 2" margin on my last pagesoccersmo wrote:so quick question to all of you that applied to UCLA or are applying... so I am uploading attachments.. and on my word doc on my computer my personal statement is exactly 2 pga double spaced... but when I attach it and preview my application it is 2 1/2 pgs... did anyone else have this problem, I already shortened it to the 2 page maximum and I'm kind of freaking out
