If anyone who was accepted was awarded a graduate fellowship could you please PM me the details that came in your letter. I need the information ASAP and do not have it from W&M. I will call tomorrow but would like to have some idea of what they will say prior. Please help if you can!

Email from the dean. I guess I need to give a decision tomorrow. Will withdraw tonight and give up my fellowship. W & M was the first decent school I as accepted to, so I will always have a soft spot for it.

Good luck all.

Actually, they have a hold option on the admitted students page. Basically, your three choices are: commit, withdraw, and hold my seat until the May 1 deposit deadline.

So, if you aren't totally ready to withdraw - you don't have to.

And keep in mind that "commit" option is purely informational (not enforceable) until May 1 deposit. And even after that you are just in up to the amount of your deposit.

Hello there. Love the tar.

The ASW for W&M sounded like quite the fun-filled excursion. I actually visited the law school back on the 16th and 17th, but I came in from Colorado, and I couldn't make my schedule fit with the ASW... Plus I wasn't really invited, as a waitlist squatter. 8) Which TLSers consumed too much alcohol and had incriminating incidents?

This school became my top preference after visiting, especially since Lexington, VA is a miserable place. Haha.

But of course! 8) I in fact mentioned that the prestigious admitted student known as "krispykitten" endorsed my application.

Your well-wishes are certainly appreciated!

Just withdrew (a bit sadly, I love W&M). Hope my spot goes to one of you. Good luck!

I am chill. Curse my inability to convey tone properly on the Interwebs! :)

I actually think krispy IS a prestigious admitted applicant. IIRC, she got a nice fellowship and/or stipend offer, which is more than I'm likely to get with my UGPA.

I wouldn't cite anyone from an online forum in my LoCI though. That'd probably be a great way to get off the waitlist in a bad way. Haha. :)

there obviously was a pint of sarcasm in that statement, web or no web.

I have never heard anyone calling an admitted student prestigious, though, lol. At any rate I hope you get off the waitlist.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
