This. If you got in in February that's not too far away, no? I don't mean to assume anything about your situation, though. Sorry to hear it.

i've got to commit to teach for america by february 3. so no law school for the next two years. i guess that gives me lots of time to retake the lsat. or learn how to be a dog walker.

edit: i'm sorry, i should be more enthusiastic for those of you who got in. i really am excited for all of you, have fun :)

Hey smiley - You could always send them an email explaining your situation. On the other hand, are you sure you want to do TFA? I was a Baltimore corps member. It's tough, especially for those who aren't sure they want to be there. I'm not saying that's you... just something to think about. There are a few posts on here that do justice to the difficulty of TFA. Search for them if you haven't already. Otherwise, good luck and let me know if you have any questions about being a corps member.

IN!!!!!! Letter was at my house :) Was completely unsure of how it would go, so I'm beyond happy. BC is probably #1 or #2 on my realistic choices list!

To today's admits: congratulations!
Holds: Don't lose faith; send some LOCIs and whatever else you can to push your interest and things will work out.
Denies: I'm sorry, really - it's too bad it didn't work out. But power through; it's early in the cycle and nobody can tell you what's going to happen.

:)

BC is located in Newton not Boston, BU is in the heart of Boston. BC has better job prospects in Boston, but BU better recognized nationally (check Vault Top 40 law firms BU employs 3 to 4 times more at the largest firms compared to BC) such as LA, NYC, DC and I would love to be able to come home to LA, also BU students make on average 135k and BC is 124K almost 125k (check it out on princetonreview.com). Haha I've done way too much research...but yeah that's why I prefer BU over BC. But BC has a football program and better campus, great student life...BU is ugly...

Not as exciting as the underdogs--who really deserve the glory--but I'm in too. 3.9X/175, EA. Congratulations to everyone!

haha, I meant New England, I read somewhere that they sometimes prefer people from New England college....but it's probably a minute part of the application process.
I read somewhere that "quality of UG" is a factor they consider, but that's pretty ambiguous.

my ug is ranked higher than boston college ug is....
