3.4, 169. Not a supreme splitter here, but who knows. God I hope USC isn't batching this one and was just sending out decisions in general.

Re: USC 2010!
I don't know about that. I know that you said "probable" and not "certain," but not everyone with a 3.6 and a 167 has a scholarship offer. I was accepted (DF 3/9) with a 3.64 and a 167, but I received a letter on Tuesday informing me that I could go to Hell and pay sticker. USC was everything I wished for, and because I wasn't careful, I got it. All $210k of it. Just because you "should" have been accepted does not by any stretch mean that the university would have sent you a check, or that it even would have been likely to.mctj wrote:I'm going to guess it's a rejection batch, guys. I was W/L with a 3.54/169 and I wrote the extra essay and everything. They were my first choice, but with these admissions practices I'm starting to wonder what USC will be ranked in 3 years. This has to be the most idiotic admissions strategy available. If my GPA was 0.06 higher, and my LSAT 2 points lower, I'd have been an auto admit with a probable scholarship offer.
I will admit that your auto-admit theory--based on LSN, I presume--could be correct: I went DF on 3/9 after going IR on 2/24. Of course, my personal belief is that I am a beautiful and unique snowflake with a fantastic PS and LORs. But after seeing the horror that is the graph on LSN, I know that's probably not true.

SOOOO now we can move to the conversation of whether paying sticker is worth it.. I'm in same boat exactly as youbigchris1313 wrote:I don't know about that. Re: USC 2010!
I was a DF 3/9er, accepted with 3.4/169. Sent in my USC financial aid app immediately, and got a letter today saying no scholarship or need-based grant aid, stay tuned for your loans letter. For the record, I made $23k last year so I'm not exactly sure who they consider to have "need," but whatever.
If I want $200k in loans, I'll go to GW. Still keeping my fingers crossed for any $$ from BU.
That half-tuition scholly from W&M is looking mighty good right now...

Under review 3/31. Yay! The fact that I have made it roughly 48 hours without being told to kindly take my sorry ass elsewhere is more than enough. Now to sneak attack with a withdrawal. They'll never know what hit 'em. Hahahaha
