What was the postmark on the letters? Does anyone know and willing to share?

tbf, I've been complete for at least 6 rounds of rejections.crackberry wrote:TBF, the letter wouldn't have gotten to Colorado yet.Kronk wrote:So does five months free of rejection constitute tacit acceptance?
I also avoided a rejection letter from 06520 today, but I'm not going to breathe a sigh of relief until Monday or Tuesday.

Considering you didn't send your app in until Mid February I'd be suprised if they've looked at it.crackberry wrote:TBF, the letter wouldn't have gotten to Colorado yet.Kronk wrote:So does five months free of rejection constitute tacit acceptance?

You probably got a 10, not enough to get in and not low enough to get rejected... May end up an admit or a waitlist.Kronk wrote:tbf, I've been complete for at least 6 rounds of rejections.crackberry wrote:TBF, the letter wouldn't have gotten to Colorado yet.Kronk wrote:So does five months free of rejection constitute tacit acceptance?

Hopefully you realize I just made this all up and while it makes sense it really has no basis in reality.

Haven't there really only been 2 "waves" or "rounds" of rejections?Kronk wrote:tbf, I've been complete for at least 6 rounds of rejections.crackberry wrote:TBF, the letter wouldn't have gotten to Colorado yet.Kronk wrote:So does five months free of rejection constitute tacit acceptance?

You and I both know the underlined isn't true.Kronk wrote:Haven't really kept up but I've been complete for all of them.crackberry wrote:Haven't there really only been 2 "waves" or "rounds" of rejections?
I'm pretty sure this is the second big wave of rejections. It's definitely the first time a wave of rejects was posted on Twitter.

Man, you all pay much closer attention to people's names than I do. I suppose it's because I usually don't pay them much attention.tomhobbes wrote:The reason you weren't admitted was that your application was not successful. Don't give up hope! When did those of you who were just rejected go complete?

Re: Yale 2010
Based on today's rejection batch on LSN, the latest complete date is mid-February. I doubt that they've gotten to us March-complete folks yet. (But, like you, I'll still breathe sigh of relief if I get no mail from Yale over the next two days.)crackberry wrote:When did those of you who were just rejected go complete?

Even only having been complete 3 weeks, I was happy to only see a new Netflix movie in my mailbox this morning.Dignan wrote:Based on today's rejection batch on LSN, the latest complete date is mid-February. tbf, I honestly haven't. Wrote off Yale long ago when I was skipped for JR1s, and Tautology is in Colorado so looks like I'm probably safe.crackberry wrote:You and I both know the underlined isn't true.Kronk wrote:Haven't really kept up but I've been complete for all of them.crackberry wrote:Haven't there really only been 2 "waves" or "rounds" of rejections?

I went complete Jan 25. Rejected today. Does that mean I got reviewed by faculty?

No one knows... That part of the process is really unknown. It may be they reviewed you quickly or it may have been you just didn't get there.zapper wrote:I went complete Jan 25. Rejected today. Does that mean I got reviewed by faculty?

In response to #1: no, unless you're an international student. Then, you will be emailed.Peter North wrote:Ok, guys, ENOUGH of the banter/fighting/flaming!!!
Let's revert this discussion back to YLS admissions, shall we?
Again, to those who got the ding: I feel your plight.
Two quick questions to those in the know:
1). Does YLS offer acceptances absent a phone call from anyone @YLS? (ie. by snail mail?)
2). Is it safe to say that 70%-90% of the YLS class is filled by now?

Sorry to hear about everybody today.
My wild speculation is that it's on the lower end of that range. Certainly more than half but not yet 90%.Peter North wrote: 2). Is it safe to say that 70%-90% of the YLS class is filled by now?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
