I also avoided a rejection letter from 06520 today, but I'm not going to breathe a sigh of relief until Monday or Tuesday.

You probably got a 10, not enough to get in and not low enough to get rejected... May end up an admit or a waitlist.

Hopefully you realize I just made this all up and while it makes sense it really has no basis in reality.

Well, I suppose I'm allowed to chime in with another shocking report of a rejection. My plan was always to hope that they misread my application and accidentally let me in, but alas my plan was not successful.

The reason you weren't admitted was that your application was not successful. Don't give up hope! If you reapply with a successful application next year, you'll certainly get in!

I'm pretty sure this is the second big wave of rejections. It's definitely the first time a wave of rejects was posted on Twitter.

My rejection was postmarked March 16. The letter was dated March 15.

Based on today's rejection batch on LSN, the latest complete date is mid-February. I doubt that they've gotten to us March-complete folks yet. (But, like you, I'll still breathe sigh of relief if I get no mail from Yale over the next two days.)

No one knows... That part of the process is really unknown. It may be they reviewed you quickly or it may have been you just didn't get there.

Let's revert this discussion back to YLS admissions, shall we?

Again, to those who got the ding: I feel your plight.

Two quick questions to those in the know:

1). Does YLS offer acceptances absent a phone call from anyone @YLS? (ie. by snail mail?)

2). Is it safe to say that 70%-90% of the YLS class is filled by now?

In response to #1: no, unless you're an international student. Then, you will be emailed.

My wild speculation is that it's on the lower end of that range. Certainly more than half but not yet 90%.
