I was also unable to find a status checker for UM, so I called and asked the admissions office how to locate the status checker, the lady said it was not up yet, and feel free to call anytime and they'd check for me. Since I had submitted my applications a couple days ago 10/19, she said to call back on Tuesday next for an update. If this just because I haven't been processed, and won't be til Tuesday, or the status checker in general is not active right now. Thought I'd share.

In at Miami. Received the packet in the mail today.

Numbers: 2.8, 167, non-trad.

I sent my app out 9/18 and never received confirmation that it was received. At least I'm guaranteed to go to law school somewhere next fall. That alleviates some of the stress.

I sent in on 9/28 and haven't heard anything. Good to know I'm not alone in that regard.

Anybody heard anything about a UM status checker this year yet?

I just called and the lady said miami doesn't notify you if you are complete, they just contact you if something is missing.
I'm skeptical because she also said that they haven't even started reviewing applications yet (which is obviously BS).

I applied to UM and received an e-mail notifying me that they had received my application; however, I still haven't heard anything about a status checker. I applied 10/18 & the e-mail came on 10/20.

For those of you who have been accepted, did you get the "congratulations" page when you logged in to MyUM? I'm just curious because in the "in at Miami" thread from last cycle a lot of the applicants were talking about how they found out they were accepted online by creating a CaneID and then logging in.

I'm away from my mail a lot so if I can find out online, that would be sweet!

Anyone know when the next batch of decisions will be coming out? I'm anxiously awaiting my first acceptance after getting waitlisted at ND yesterday...I hope Miami will be just that

Same for me too. I applied on Sept. 23rd and I've been lied to so many times by the woman on the phones that I don't even know if I'm complete or not. I just hope to hear something soon.

When I called a few days ago, she began by asking me my name. She asked me to repeat it because she didn't understand my last name. Before I could even say it again she put me on hold.

She came back a few minutes later and told me to call back next week (which is the same response iv gotten every time I ask about the status of my application.) I saw her in person one time and she actually sounded like that as well.

also, when did you apply? Congrats btw! Miami is a fun city with a lot of potential (if you can stand the traffic and the people/ egos). There is always something to do and the nightlife is pretty good in terms of clubs. Good beaches too

I called the office to see if my application, submitted Oct. 21, was complete. She informed me that it was complete and in review, and that I should be hearing back from them soon on a decision, no time table given, but according to LSN, last year most people received a decision by Nov. 18 or so.

As it stands right now UM would potentially be my first decision, so I'm hoping it is a positive. I'd love to attend the "U" but unfortunately my GPA is low and could really hinder my chances (160, 2.63 (2.959) although I do have good softs; 5+ Yrs WE, 3.52 MBA GPA (3.69 in Program) and some very good LOR's.
