Any CA residents hear any news? Maybe they are dinging out-of-staters today?

Thanks, and I root for you. I'm just glad I didn't take a spot which could have been yours. I feel guilty when I think about going to schools I don't feel excited about like others do. If you survive this genocide then I'd say you have a better than not chance.los blancos wrote:Jericwithers wrote:Lol I guess I shouldn't be so cynical in a time like this. Re: Berkeley 2010
Rejection email this morning. Never expected to get in so it didn't affect me at all. Actually I'm very happy that my application cycle is over!! (Well, kind of, because I'm still W/L at Chicago. Maybe I should just withdraw because I won't go even if I get in.)

Thanks, and I'm glad you noticed it was a sentiment. Looking at LSN from last year doesn't inspire the same kind of hope.los blancos wrote:Haha thanks, the sentiment is definitely appreciated.Jericwithers wrote:

Now I just need to hear from Michigan (WTF?!) and Stanford.

lol not bitter just kind of amused with their admissions process, admitted to Stanford, Chicago, and NYU but rejected at Boalt? I can't think of a good reason why I was after I spent time applying to Boalt.Kronk wrote:He's not bitter. Got the rejection email this morning. This was the farthest reach of all of my reaches, so I don't feel bad about it. Congrats to whomever is going to Berkeley!

Yeah, SLS acceptance would take the sting out of it for sure.$1.99 wrote:lol not bitter just kind of amused with their admissions process, admitted to Stanford, Chicago, and NYU but rejected at Boalt? Is it over? Can I breathe now? Anyone else still alive out there?
I'm guessing for those of us who weren't under faculty review and didn't get dinged today (knock on wood), we'll be sent to FR round 2?

Either this. Or we get rejected later today/tomorrow/next week/next month. Or we get admitted. I'm hoping for options #1 or #3.runnerman wrote:Is it over? Can I breathe now? Anyone else still alive out there?

Re: Berkeley 2010
Sorry to hear about all the dings.
I haven't gotten mine (expected) yet, but I applied really late.
What kind of softs did you guys have (esp. those with stellar numbers)? Good letters of rec/PS? Was this massacre based on anything other than pure caprice?

My phone just buzzed with an email, and it was my uncle with some dumb email about "viagra coffee". He almost got added to my blocked senders list for that.
