Applied 1/6, went CRFR 2/18 (I think, 90% sure), accepted 3/1. Fyi, my status still says CRFR even after acceptance.hellokitty wrote:I applied 2/01 and it went CRFR 2/16. Hey everyone, so I sent everything in on January 5 and it still says incomplete... I've emailed admissions twice and they have assured me that it just takes time to complete a file... but 2 months?? Anyone else having the same problem?

I'm in the same boat. Definitely disappointed with the slow turn around time.Katherine wrote:Hey everyone, so I sent everything in on January 5 and it still says incomplete... I sent mine in on the exact same day as you. I went CRFR a week or so ago, and I haven't heard anything since. I know everyone has received a larger number of applications this year, but I do hope we hear of a decision before April 1st!KellyD09 wrote:Applied 1/6, went CRFR 2/18 (I think, 90% sure), accepted 3/1. I'm there too, with decent numbers....I've called twice (two weeks apart) and both times I've been assured that my file is just "matching up." I applied on 1/29 and it's odd that a 2/1er just got accepted. ???jaxangler wrote:I'm in the same boat. Applied late November, decent numbers (likely admit according to LSN), haven't heard a peep.

Do they send us status checker info? How long does that normally take?

Re: Alabama 2010
I applied 2/01 but UA is my UG. BUT, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, because I have other friends that go to UA and applied in Nov. and haven't heard anything. I had a professor tell me that I was accepted so quickly because I was a URM, Idk what that has to do with hearing back so soon though.adk6 wrote:I'm there too, with decent numbers....I've called twice (two weeks apart) and both times I've been assured that my file is just "matching up." It may. I am URM also and I heard back sooner than others with earlier complete date.

Re: Alabama 2010
Yeah, I know what you're saying.
I didn't expect to get in, but then today I found out that someone else got in with a 148, 3.6 so I guess I shouldn't be shocked. He has amazing softs though, probably the most involved guy on campus I know. Doesn't hurt that he's a URM either though. So few minorities want to go to Tuscaloosa, so they accept the few that apply I'm guessing. Most of my Mexican friends at UA have full rides.
However, I'm more than likely going to be withdrawing soon, so hopefully my spot goes to one of you guys that are waiting. Idk what the hold-up could be, but I'm sure you'll all be accepted soon.

A few days after I applied I received an email with a link to attain a "crimson email" address. From your crimson i.d. you can check your application status.HDAU wrote:Do they send us status checker info? How long does that normally take?

For those who went CRFR, did any of you go "pending" before or after that?

Went "pending," in the last week or so, after I had already gone CRFR, which probably means it'll be only 2 more months until we hear back. Just keep listening to your Alabama-subsidized iTunes purchase to forget all about how long they take to make up their minds.rcharles wrote:For those who went CRFR, did any of you go "pending" before or after that?

How long did it take for your status to change from Incomplete to complete? Mine has been incomplete for weeks and when I call they say they have everything just waiting to review it.

I'm in the same boat. I was supposed to go complete last week according to them, but still incomplete.apmurphy636 wrote:How long did it take for your status to change from Incomplete to complete? Just a quick word to relieve some stress for those of you who are worried about admissions:
Bama is notorious for making admissions decisions right up to the first day of classes. I can't tell you how many people I know who had that happen.

Re: Alabama 2010
I am "Pending" as of 3/10/2010 with a 163 LSAT and a 3.52 GPA.
The admissions councilor I spoke to was pretty vague, but basically said that I'm competitive... meaning I'm not a definite NO, but I'm not a definite YES either. I'm not on the wait list. I'm not waiting, I'm pending. Do people who are pending usually get in?
Should I be worried about getting rejected? My friends who are first years this year know people who got accepted a week before classes started this year. Were they on the wait list or were they pending?
I should have studied much harder for the LSAT, I sort of have all my eggs in this basket. I like Tuscaloosa.

Pending as of today too. (complete 1/15)
Bama is the most selective school I applied to, so not exactly holding my breath.

I submitted 11/19 and went complete 12/10, and have not changed to pending yet. Starting to get impatient...
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
