I assume that you spotted me as I strolled into class 15 minutes late. I guess class doesn't start at 9:30, haha.kalvano wrote:Crespi seems very cool. I spotted Thirteen in my class, finally, and I met UTL the other day.
I wish they had let the sections get together a little more during orientation, instead of it being broken up by LW sections.
I'm on the lookout for Betasteve. No idea what he looks, but he was a mentor, so that narrows it down.

I recognized your devilish sexiness from some picture or another.

For those who bought the evening LRWA Student Manual--does your copy have a tab 21?
There's a tab 21 listed on the table of contents but my tabs stop at 20.

I have the Student Manual for day students, and it also lists tab 21, but the tab nor the contents are in my binder.

Did any of you use citations in this summer diag thing? I pretty much shot from the hip after reading the source materials, considering everyone who's done it before says it's more to see if you can write a coherent sentence than anything.

I did not. I referenced the cases but did not pull directly from them.

No need to try to use citations. You aren't expected to know how.

I know how. I just didn't feel like expending the effort on a non-graded assignment.

Shouldn't we move our conversations to the law student forum? Just wondering since you know...we are students now...and there is a new thread.

SMU-specific discussion to the Class of 2013 thread, probably.

Hello all,
Sorry for resurrecting this thread. I am wondering how many of you from last year's cycle were admitted or denied after originally being "held for further review" and when you finally heard back. Thanks!

Re: SMU 2010!
Welp, just what I wanted to see while toiling away on my brief. According to the new US NEWS and World Report only 66% of our graduates are employed at graduation? So one in three of us will be unemployed when we get our diplomas?
This is compared to 91% employed for UT and even 75% at UH??? Am I missing something?
That is not exactly the encouragement I was looking for.

Yikes...just saw that as well. Do you think it could be any correlation with a lower TX bar passage rate this year (I think it was around 83% IIRC)fathergoose wrote:Welp, just what I wanted to see while toiling away on my brief. Also...Baylor- 46.9% employed at graduation. Ouch.
EDIT- Also, #30 Emory- 65% and #47 Tulane- 53%

Houston has survived ITE a little bit better than Dallas (energy sector FTW!).
How is everybody seeing the employment data? I'm seeing subscription only links.
