Does anyone know when we can expect to receive our section assignment/schedule?? I think someone had posted the schedule for the sections previously but I can't find the info. If someone could re-post it I would greatly appreciate it!

SMU certified my Grad PLUS.

All my loans have been certified. Disbursement dates are 8/10/10 for all my loans, scholly is 8/20/10. Looks like loan fees are $188.00/semester.

Has anyone been able to sync their iPhone w/ their SMU e-mail? I've tried following the instructions on the website (http://www.smu.edu/OIT/Services/CellPho ... ation.aspx)but it keeps telling me my password is incorrect, I know it's not.

I have... But it seems like their exchange server only pushes out the most recent messages... I can't get my latest 50 messages on my iphone..

My gradplus loans just got certified today. I applied the day we got the notice.

I'm a bit confused about the loan emails...

I have still not received an email telling me that my loan info is available (yes, I'm looking at my smu email). The info is on access.smu and I was able to accept the awards, but I haven't seen anything in the mail other than the general one they sent to everyone on the 14th saying that they had switched over to the direct loan program.

Beginning today, June 14, 2010, Southern Methodist University has joined thousands of other U.S. higher education institutions....

That isn't the "notification" email is it? hardly seems like it would be, considering that it was addressed to the entire staff, faculty, and student lists.

No, that's not it. But the other e-mail doesn't contain anything important. It's just a form e-mail that is generated when something changes regarding your financial aid. If you didn't get it, but you still got everything pertaining to your loans, I wouldn't sweat it. Maybe just a glitch, or maybe they do something different for the evening folks.

Make sure that you complete the entrance counseling for whatever loans you accept. After than, make sure you sign your MPN. Those things should all be done through the .gov Web site.

which .gov website do we use to view the entrance counseling and sign the MPN?

Edit: Additionally, we have the option to give back any amount we do not use or need at the end of the semester or year to lower the principal.

If you don't mind me asking, where exactly did you find/see that? I'm trying to figure out how much of the offered loans I am going to take. Like you all, the amount they offered me was 10 grand more than the estimate they have listed on the website. I don't want to have to take more than I need, especially if interest starts accruing immediately. However, I don't know how that factors if in we can indeed give unused loans back at the end of the year/semester.

A little off topic, but before I call the admin office does anyone know what is the breakdown of the ~$4,000 fees added on our tuition? Are books included in this?? I know parking is around $300 or so.

You can opt out if you are already covered, but their insurance is pretty good and pretty cheap.

Strange...this doc ( --LinkRemoved-- ) has the annual coverage as far more pricey.
