+1 and I'm not even sure if I should expect a call as no one seems to know if she calls international applicants.
I haven't even gotten a complete email, is this normal?
Last year she emailed international applicants (I think. At least, she emailed me.) I don't know about Canadians, but I imagine non-North American international accepted students will get an email again this year.
Hey Haribo ---
You still so far south of the border you´re almost north?
I´m out of the country, and I got a call that, no surprise here, didn´t let me pick up, followed by an email saying that she had unsuccessfully tried to call.

so would it be all right to mention in my LOCI that i'd like to be at stanford bc my younger sister is an UG there? (not as my main reason for wanting to attend but at the tail end of the paragraph about why i still like stanford)

you blow
i suspect you're the same person behind a shitty series of trolls this board has had
there was celibidache a few months ago who i don't think is active anymore, there was renaixenca more recently, and now herb. all with several dozen posts, all with vaguely pretentious names, all spewing eerily similar brands of useless bullshit. if i'm anywhere near on track with this, though, one would think the IP in question would've met its fate at the hands of the banstick some time ago

Thanks! I will attempt to not obsessively check my email now.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but outdoor space that abuts SLS is named "Cooley Court."

I can probably get Hawkeye or Helm to check if he's an alt and ban.

Do it. He sucks. Let's get rid of him. Plus, I'm curious to see if I'm right. Clyde_Darrow pointed out a suspicious timeline (Renaixenca's last post was Feb. 27, Herb's first was March 1 or 2).

Yeah, I've thought that for a while. I actually don't remember celibidache, but you could be right about that as well.

k. Hawkeye will do anything once you get him on video chat. hth
I also had this theory. He disappeared right after he made that distasteful Dean Deal comment and I PMed him that I was going to have mods watch his posts.

Yeah, it'd be a weird coincidence if they're different people. I'm nearly positive they are the same. I guess we'll see.

So I'm guessing with this being finals week that those of us waiting probably shouldn't be holding our collective breath for any news. Then, of course, next week is spring break ...

Would finals week affect admissions? Spring break would, I'm sure.

That avatar is filthy. And I don't think admissions staff write finals.

To be fair, they probably don't want to call people while they're taking finals/about to take a final. That would be quite the distraction

Not sure. I was just guessing that it might mean that the professors who are involved in the process would be busy.

Eh, I think Dean Perry at UChi took Spring Break. I would assume they do to some extent.

It also serves as a form of self-deception, so I can supposedly concentrate on getting other things done. It's obviously working really well for me.
