Completely agree. Also, stating that Stanford is #1 without submitting recommendation letters that are targeted would probably put your sincerity in question. Those letters are great ways to convey why Stanford is your #1 without using valuable space in your PS.BioEBear2010 wrote:It's better to demonstrate why Stanford is your top choice than to simply state it. For example, mention specific programs you are interested in and/or professors with whom you would like to work. If you have other personal reasons for wanting to attend Stanford, definitely mention those.
Anyone can say Stanford is their #1. Not everyone can convincingly demonstrate the same sentiment.

I thought I was just being delightfully faux-British, but perhaps there was additional unintended meaning. Or maybe he was amused by the irony of "full stop" followed by a period.pinkhearts wrote:crackberry wrote:BenJ wrote:full stop.

This, plus the faux-British, plus the fact that you never see this anymore. It's also a holdover from the days of the telegram. Just win all around.BenJ wrote:I thought I was just being delightfully faux-British, but perhaps there was additional unintended meaning. Re: Stanford 2010!!!
Does anyone happen to know what Stanford's report request schedule is right now? Sent another LOR to LSAC, assigned it, but I'm not sure when they'll request it.
It says "The law school report will be updated and sent each time LSAC receives a letter of recommendation" on LSAC, but I think it's changed since then.

Re: Stanford 2010!!!
Stanford does have a propensity (as does Y it seems) to do a bunch of late admits, so maybe we'll see a couple of mini-waves now that the application deadline has passed.tintin wrote:still wondering why i havent been dinged / heard anything yet...been complete since oct, anyone else in my same boat?

While Stanford is the pipe dream of all pipe dreams for me, Faye and co. wait until early-mid April to admit some people. They're still sitting on a lot of applications. So, keep hope alive!Dtackpat75 wrote:+1 same boat. ugggh waitlists! i dread the waitlist. i hate uncertainty. i've heard they wait until april to reject a lot of people though, even early applicants. doesn't make much sense but that's how they roll i guess...sandiecohen47 wrote:While Stanford is the pipe dream of all pipe dreams for me, Faye and co. wait until early-mid April to admit some people.
