on that note: it would be excessive to send them a THIRD LOCI before I've heard anything, no?

I would save your ammunition. If you're not accepted (unlikely ), the WL should arrive very soon.
With my luck, OTOH, I'll hear in June, after the letter gets lost in the mail three times.

Re: NYU 2010
Since y'all have been so helpful, I decided to take one for the team and call Admissions. I don't care if they hold it against me b/c I'm going somewhere else anyway.
I learned the following:
1. They're currently sending decisions;
2. They ARE still sending acceptances; and,
3. We should all hear by Apr. 20. (I doubt this is true, based on their track record...)
Hope this is helpful!

Thanks LDC! If we are sending an e-mail update do we use law.moreinfo@nyu.edu?

Re: 6 days - that was my reaction, so I asked several times - the response was the same.
I used the law.moreinfo address to e-mail them to change my address. It seems to be the best way to update something on your application!
Good luck to everyone who's waiting!

So April 20 is the day they put the letters on the boat that takes them DC where they are carried on horseback to the post office to be mailed third class? Excellent.
Didn't one person say they had been accepted by email? But it was a special case?

No problem! I withdrew my app as well, so that's one less in the running. Best of luck to y'all!
edit to clarify: I withdrew several hours after I called.

Re: NYU 2010
A question for those of you who asked for / got extensions on your scholly offers:
Can you ask for this extension over the phone? I'm still waiting on some schools. I don't want to give them an answer (or deposit money) before I hear . Also, I sent a scholarship negotiation letter and haven't heard back. Time is running out. Any advice?
