they seem to update the admitted students site on wednesdays. it's been much slower (at least on TLS) lately, with 1 or 2 people claiming success each week. maybe next wednesday will be THE day :D
its early in March yet... maybe since they know we will all drop everything to go, then they think they can wait to tell us until the last minute since we'll be sure things. this is driving me insane.

I think they pushed up the deadline on the scholarship recipients in order to get a better feel of the class. If I were to bet on it, I'd say early April should provide some more movement, unless those recipients withdraw sooner. Just my opinion though.

I don't think the scholarship deadline will impact admissions. The way everything is worded, it sounds as if the scholarship people could pass up the scholarship but still submit a deposit between 3 April and 3 May. (I could see that happening if someone decides to forego the scholarship to stay in contention at HYSCC but then gets burned at all five.)

I guess we have to wait until Wednesday for another 2 people to be accepted. As long as that reject email/mail/whatever isn't at my door, I'll keep holding on...

So, since applying in early November, NYU is the only school I haven't heard back from. I've been held at Harvard and Columbia (so at least they've sent something!), and decisions from everywhere else. But not a single word from NYU. Is this common?

So is the general consensus that Wednesday is the day to try to log into the admitted sites? Because I think I'm pretty much SOL if I can't log in tomorrow.

+1, though in at Columbia, and out at Harvard. I called last week, and was told that my application was "with the committee."

According to LSN, many were admitted last year on Friday, March 20 after a relatively quiet two weeks: http://nyu.lawschoolnumbers.com/applica ... r=desc&p=2. These acceptances continued steadily until the week beginning April 6 (April 5 this year), after which almost everything was WL. Such a pattern would make sense this year too, since the next ASW is April 8-9.

So I would give it 2.5 more weeks before giving up :-)

Also, for those interested in seeing how events unfolded last year around this time, see this thread: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... &start=150. Note the wave of acceptances that began Mar. 20 after ~two weeks of relative quiet.

edit: added link to last year's thread.

Thanks for the info on last year's final acceptance push. Do you know if people who had applied early, say October or November, were also in that big final batch, or was it mostly late applicants? In other words, are we October applicants outta luck? :p

Hello, I'm a little late to the party. I figured I was an auto-ding so I haven't been following the thread that closely. But I got WL'ed at Chicago a few days ago so now I'm letting myself wonder about NYU. Applied 12/30, complete 1/20.

The final batch is interesting b/c it includes those who submitted early, it almost seems like a big "catch up". Here's some examples (sorted by app. date):

10/18 http://lawschoolnumbers.com/ths24
10/27 http://lawschoolnumbers.com/susannakpark
10/28 http://lawschoolnumbers.com/true5081
11/01 http://lawschoolnumbers.com/lem37
11/15 http://lawschoolnumbers.com/tankiepankie
12/01 http://lawschoolnumbers.com/TylerDoom
12/01 http://lawschoolnumbers.com/lsathlete

BTW, here's the list of accepted applicants only sorted by date so you can see it yourself:
http://nyu.lawschoolnumbers.com/applica ... atus=3&p=1

edit: added to list
