I did some poking around LSN last night and it seemed like the semifinalists (as in, selected for an interview) were notified ~Feb 20th. There was limited data, but it seemed pretty consistent. I'm not really in a rush to find out, because if you do get the scholarship, you get only 3 days to accept it and I want to make sure I have my other finaid offers if I do have to make that decision.wackadoodle wrote:Anastasia Dee Dualla wrote:Anyone apply for the AnBryce that has heard back yet, or is that for sure in March that we hear back?
I haven't heard anything- I think we hear between Feb and March 15? not positive though. I assumed it was a similar timeline to the other named scholarships?

Re: NYU 2010
I got an e-mail from LSAC when my updated transcript was processed. You can just go to the transcripts page of your LSAC account and look to see if the "transcript processed" date has updated from when your last transcript was processed.Jericwithers wrote:I don't think so. Check your transcript academic report to see if your GPA reflects your fall grades, and check your law school's application report status to see if they have sent out an update.JollyGreenGiant wrote:I mailed my transcript like 2 weeks ago and no response from LSAC. Do they email you when they process your transcript?
On a separate note, also held for fall grades . . . anyone in the same situation gotten a decision yet?

I applied for the Ann Bryce also but I'm unsure what my status is because I submitted with my application in December but didn't go complete till Jan 12th . But if I got the award, It would take me 5mins to respond.Anastasia Dee Dualla wrote:I only need one day.Laina wrote:I did some poking around LSN last night and it seemed like the semifinalists (as in, selected for an interview) were notified ~Feb 20th. same situation here- i think we should be okay b/c I feel like they would be very explicit if it need to BE COMPLETE by 1/1 or just that we needed to COMPLETE IT b/c they are so specific about that when it comes to early decision deadlines......hope waiting those few days was not the biggest mistake ever........any idea how many people actually are finalists for the named scholarships?

No, LSAC received my transcript...it should have been sent out. I mean I know I applied late but I wish they could throw me some kind of bone to calm me down.JollyGreenGiant wrote:Is it taking a long time to get your transcript processed?bayareadunks wrote:Just to be sure...the admitted students site that everyone is referring to is the one where you enter your SSN and birth date, correct? Just finished visiting NYU today, and I must say that the school is amazing. I highly recommend that all you admits go to the admitted student programs -- they should be insane.

I sat in on two lectures (ConLaw and Law, Economics, & Society), and both the professors were engaging and hilarious. Also, the students were very personable and asked a lot of great questions (they seemed genuinely interested in the classes). Also also, the surrounding area is simply incredible. Lucky that I got a chance to see NYU before Snowmageddon hit, haha.blue5385 wrote: I am ridiculously excited for the ASDs coming up next month. Bio, what impressed you most about NYU?

That's why I'm going to the late March dates, hopefully the snowpocalypse(s) will have run their course by then!BioEBear2010 wrote:I sat in on two lectures (ConLaw and Law, Economics, & Society), and both the professors were engaging and hilarious. I'm really looking forward to a chance to sit in on the lectures. The two you mentioned sound interesting, especially Law, Economics, & Society. It's also really nice to hear the students were personable and legitimately interested. I think one of the things I'm most excited for is seeing Greenwich Village, I think it would be a really amazing area to live in (albeit expensive).

I need to be admitted before the ASW.
Anyone know a general time frame when "fall grade request" applicants will hear?

Just took a look at your LSN. Two more LSAT points and you'd be auto-admit everywhere except for H/S. That's gotta be annoying as hell.Jericwithers wrote:I have no clue when we will hear, but I don't have alot of faith that I will be accepted anyways.D Brooks wrote:I need to be admitted before the ASW.

i'll preface this by saying i haven't yet been waitlisted, so no one freak out, but...
does anyone have any ready stats on how often riding the waitlist pays off?
