Hmm, just checked my contact info out and apparently I switched my two addresses on the NYU application. Current address it is, then.lsathalon wrote:summerschooled wrote:Does NYU mail to current or permanent address?

And now you pay for it with loans...but with your shiny NYU degree, you will (eventually) be able to pay them back.

Re: NYU 2010
Thanks for your responses. I figured I might just be one of those missing out on the complete email, but I'll just keep freaking out anyway. If I do get anything in the mail, it will take forever as I live abroad. I've been trying to call the admissions office, only to get a recording saying that due to the high call volume, they can't answer. I guess it's better than being on hold for hours.BenJ wrote:Yes. There's no status checker, and NYU often misses people with their complete e-mails. Presumably, you went complete on 1/20 along the rest of the 1/12-received crowd.roundabout wrote:Have tried looking through the thread and given up. My brain is exploding- I submitted on 1/7, got notice of receipt 1/12, and still no complete email or status checker- is this normal?
On the up side, congrats to everyone that's gotten in!

Congratulations! I wish the admitted students site worked for me; I have the exact same dates, 178/3.78. NYU, you're making me depressed.scribelaw wrote:Oh my god oh my god oh my god!

Re: NYU 2010
FWIW, if anyone is wondering about whether they average LSAT scores, I had two scores, but the jump was signifigant (9 points). I doubt they would have taken me so quickly if they'd used my ~169 average.

Re: NYU 2010
That makes me feel a little better about not being able to access to admitted students website. I have two scores, jump of 11 points. Even at the average, 172.5, I should be admitted, but with the high number I should definitely get in. I hope. NYU, please don't let me down.scribelaw wrote:FWIW, if anyone is wondering about whether they average LSAT scores, I had two scores, but the jump was signifigant (9 points). I emailed NYU admissions today asking if I was complete. They responded by saying:
"Your application was complete, a mail was recently sent to your address."
Time to start freaking out? Are rejections mailed as well as acceptances?
What did you write in your email? I haven't received a complete email yet.

Congrats to the new admits!
I e-mailed them days ago saying I applied in October, haven't heard back, and would like to know how I should go about sending a LOCI, writing sample, and/or 1-2 additional LOR(s), but have not received a reply. Fml.

If you want a response, my guess is that a call would be better.Core wrote:Congrats to the new admits!

Yea. I'm interested in PI and would love to be in Manhattan, so NYU would be an amazing fit (especially if I had scored a bit closer to my PT average on the Sept. LSAT ).BenJ wrote:Would you take NYU over Chicago?Core wrote:Congrats to the new admits!

Aww, you're a lock anyway. They're probably just waiting because you're a URM. Maybe they hold all URM applications until late. Good luckCore wrote:Yea. Ah, according to LSN, they don't hold all URM applications until late. They're probably holding me because I'm borderline, I hope. Thanks.BenJ wrote:Aww, you're a lock anyway. A non-URM with identical numbers to you got in. There's nothing to worry about.Core wrote:Ah, according to LSN, they don't hold all URM applications until late. I'm in the same spot, with the interest in PI. NYU has an amazing LRAP.Core wrote:Yea. I haven't gotten in to Chicago, but I think it would be an agonizing call. Both have their pluses.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
