nope, it never changes after complete, not even to reflect a decision after you get it

About how long after going complete have recent decisions been made? I went complete about 10 days ago and have been biting my nails at a pace likely to leave me fingerless should I not hear back in the next month or so...

The most recent complete date to have confirmed an acceptance so far is 1/21. I'm sitting at 1/26 complete, so my nerves are beginning to rise, but you have no reason to be nervous for at least a week or two. (Missing the absolute earliest possible date for admissions is far from a bad sign, either.)

Has anyone who has gotten a hold on an ED heard anything yet?

It depends, presumably on your stats. Some January completes heard back within a month of going compete, but in my case (splitter) it was over two months before I received a decision.

First of all, it's a "deferral" not a hold. It means that you've been transferred to the Regular pool. Also, the letter specifically says that the deferred candidates will be reviewed again in March. Not quite there yet. I'm in the same boat, and I reckon we'll be hanging out in this boat for some time.

So, I went complete on 10/15 and have a 4.0 GPA and 170 LSAT. Still haven't heard anything back from Columbia. Is this normal?

I can't remember, did the notice say "in March" or "by March"?

just reluctantly checked my deferral email (by the way, did ED deferrals get something in regular mail? i didn't).

"We shall be pleased to reconsider your candidacy for admission, without prejudice and with
continuing recognition of your special interest in Columbia Law School, in April."

That's what my email said...

Strange. Are you international? I only received a hard copy letter (that got trashed), no email, which is why I couldn't just check and had to ask if other people remembered.

Hmm...interesting. No, not international. However, I did get a fall grade request, which may have changed their process a little? Maybe my persistence (I emailed them asking if they got my grades), resulted in them emailing me the decision? Not sure.

+1. I just checked my hard copy deferral letter too. I remembered the "March" part and blocked out the "late." Damn.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
