Me either. I am still at "application complete" from 3/19. I submitted my app 1/15.

Mine took a little over a month to go from complete to under review. I was complete about a week before you, so I would expect next week for you.jules1389 wrote:Me either. I am still at "application complete" from 3/19. I submitted my app 1/15.

Re: U Chicago 2010
I first went "Complete" 3/31, and just got an email today telling me my app is complete. I have no idea why they emailed me after I'd already been listed as "Application Complete" for 16 days.
No change on the application status. I got excited when I saw an email from admissions@law.uchicago.edu.
Chicago is a pipe dream for me anyway

I didn't get the application complete email until a week and a half after I saw it on my status checker, so normal I suppose.AdamatUCF wrote:I first went "Complete" 3/31, and just got an email today telling me my app is complete. This happened to me as well. I went complete 3/26 and just got an e-mail today telling me my application is complete. Two weeks and no decisions released.
What exactly are they doing? I understand it takes a while, but why can't they release decisions as they reach them instead of making everyone wait until they have a large enough number to release huge batches at this point? It's April 16th.

My status changed from "complete" to "under review" some point between yesterday and today.

ooh, mine did too. thanks for the heads up. I was complete mid March, even though I submitted in January.
Yale already destroyed my spirit and dignity, so I'm steeled for a worst-case scenario here.

Re: U Chicago 2010
My take: we all went complete late and probably all applied late, so I don't think there is a universal outcome for any of us. We are likely among the very last applications to be reviewed, and while that doesn't bode well in a general sense, it's also difficult to believe that they would reject everybody who applied late in the game simply because they applied late (and before the deadline, I might add). It seems reasonable to discredit the notion that everybody who went UR today will be lumped into the "reject" pile.

The person I'm supposed to live with at UVA told me on Friday that he got in UChi with $$ on Thursday so acceptances are still going out.

I wonder what their matriculation rate could be for acceptances they send out this late. If you were already into another CCN and had time to carefully consider going there, it would be tough to switch to UChi so close to the deposit deadline.

By the way, what did the "new merit scholarship" turn out to be?
