anyone else still UR at 2/15? (i was complete 12/10.) i'm getting nervous that it hasn't updated

I was App Received 1/5 -> Complete 2/16. You've still got a week or two of waiting before going complete.

Given that a number of us saw the UR date update today, and given that similar updates in the past have sometimes been followed by a round of decisions on a Friday, there's some reason to believe that we might see a round of decisions tomorrow. But who knows?

I think Chicago purposefully hands out less scholarship aid then other schools. It keeps the people who don't really want to be there away. And the money is generally for people who won't get any at Harvard or Stanford, that they are trying to lure away.

Isn't that basically all HS admits, since neither school gives merit aid?

Yeah kind of overlooked that, I just meant people who were considering other schools if money was available in alternative t6 schools.

So the vitriol on the admitted students thread is pretty humorous. I hope a bunch of these people really do withdraw so some of us waitlisters can reap the benefits...

You guys think there's any shot of those of us who went complete late January will go under review by mid-march? I submitted my app 12/15 and went complete 1/27 and I think my numbers at least give me a fair shot, but it feels like by the time theyd even get around to reviewing me, what spots will be left to give out? Im not saying I applied early int he cycle by any means not at all, but I wouldn't think mid-December is all that super late either but this UChicago wait is kind of making me nervous

I just went from UR 1/28 to UR 3/1. I got the merit scholarship letter, and sent in an essay. Hoping to hear something soon!

aka, should I contact them, especially since today is the last day they wanted stuff from us in the early group, to make sure they received it?

I sent them an e-mail and they confirmed that they received my essay.
