Is this person on TLS/LSN?
Yes but they're not posting info about this right now.

any particular reason for the wait?
170+ sub-3.2 AA male. Obviously I have no shot and at the beginning of my cycle decided I wasn't going to apply to any of HYS. But after being nearly auto-admitted at UVA and with an extra $97 to throw around, I figured hey, why not?

I just finished mine today... Josh sounded very nice on the phone.... and like everyone else he asked the few questions and I was talking 90% of the time, if not more... hahah...
Same here. I felt like I was talking THE ENTIRE TIME. He maybe said like 5 or 6 sentences (including the questions) during the whole thing.

Pretty sure that's the point. Or at least that's normal.

With people who also applied the first week of Novemeber getting their interviews now, this thread has suddenly become a very sad place for me.

I got a 617 telemarketer call today. That is NOT fair.

Good luck next week everyone...I hope the calls start early and cover a lot of ground.

Wow if you're not kidding, they should lock that caller up and throw away the key.

I'm serious. I'm in the area at least so it's not THAT unusual...still a bit rattling.

What's HLS's LSAT median? They only have 25/75 posted on their website.

It was 173 last year when their 25/75 was 170/176. I don't know what it is this year.

Because I'm a sad individual stuck at home with the flu, I've taken my own personal obsessive compulsive habits to the next level and gone through all of the posts on this thread, as well as the Harvard Phone Interview stats thread, and the URM board. Have found 66 (give or take a couple) unique references to JR1s being conducted or planned. Not sure if this is useful information at all, but it does throw into question my previous assumption that TLS represents about 10% of the total applicant population. No way they have conducted 660 phone interviews this early in the cycle, even if they are increasing the number of interviews they are giving out.

Do what you will with the info. Hopefully it will provide comfort to some (though at this point I suppose only JR2s can do that) :( ...

It's likely that the TLS population makes up a significant portion of the JR1 group while still making up 1-10% of the total applicant pool.

if you're still sick w/ the flu, you could make all of us feel a lot better by going through LAST yr's TS1 thread to see how many got TS1's for a comparable time...then see if thats around 66. if yes, all our fears about an increase in JR1's (but same # of JR2's) will seem unwarranted...lol.

+1, have you seen the stats on some TLS beasts? no way all these high LSAT/GPA'ers are a representative 10% population of the whole haha - definitely a selective bias
