You think we've been shunned to the bottom of the pile/random drawer in the officer/compost?
+2, been UR forever, usually I don't bother checking anymore.....seems like a lost cause at this point :(
Same for me, BUT, it looks like last year there were a handful of applicants who submitted early and received an acceptance in Jan/Feb (most with a scholly too):

So maybe hope's not lost for us:)

Anyone else get sent an invitation to interview? Got e-mail from Mark Hill to interview to finish evaluation. Duke is a reach for me, but I figure I have nothing to lose. ED with no clue when my file complete or under review. I don't track it that much.

Would like to see if anyone else is in the same boat.

I am.

I thought I would be an auto-reject, so I am taking the approach that the longer I wait, the better the news.

Though I am still 99.9% certain I will not be going to Duke, I would love to tell my wife we are moving to North Carolina.

Hmm....mine says something like "The Committee also noted that you have a particular interest in environmental law and policy. As you will learn, Duke offers many opportunities to pursue that interest." They sort of mention environmental later but it's not really a focus or anything.

That probably wasn't particularly helpful...
Mine says animal law and public interest law. The rest are the same.
Mine said "interest in the intellectual aspect of the law." I didn't really mention that in my PS, so either they're basing it off my my LORs or just tell that to people who don't mention a specific field of law in their app.

Sorry to barge in, and not read all the previous pages, but I was wondering if anyone who has gotten in has received their letter in the mail yet? (I apologize if this has already been addressed!) My status checker says mine was sent out on November 4th, but I've yet to receive anything. Is this normal?

To all those who are still waiting, best of luck! :D

I have received my packet... I had a different question though:

In my acceptance letter, they encourage me to apply for a scholarship because "I may be eligible for one." Is this a generic thing sent to all accepted individuals or to individuals only in a certain number range or only to individuals that they actually feel are eligible?

Thanks! if others who received this will post their numbers it would helpful! Duke is a top top choice of mine and I want to see how legitimate of a shot I have at actually receiving a scholarship!

I got it, and I assumed that it was a generic letter that everyone received. Stats are 173/3.9 FWIW.

I would check with the admissions council! I got my packet w/i about 5 days of acceptance, so you might want to see what's going on!

D, as long as you are still UR. I have hope. I mean, come on, of course they are going to accept you. Good numbers, good life story, and at least on here you seem like the kind of guy that can express that in written form.

So since we both have the same UR date, as long as you are UR, I have hope that my application is not being used for a lemur's litter box.

Thanks Cy! My wife seems to be the activities director of USS Optimism, but I am just looking at things realistically. While I hope that I will be accepted, I won't be terribly surprised if I got WL. Nevertheless, both of us have and will be getting into some good schools, so I have hope too!

Lemur's litter box...that's funny ;)

I'm visiting the LS today, and there's actually frost on the ground here in Durham. I was shocked by how many people were complaining about the "freezing, unbearable cold" last night when it was 41 degrees...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
