Lol. Good luck with that. Let me know how it goes for you. Just kidding, I am in the same boat as you. It really stinks!

Also apply to UH PT - Your stats are better than mine on both fronts. 3.47/153

I go to UT so I am kind of hoping that UG prestige helps push me over the edge. If I had your numbers, I'd be fairly confident! Good Luck

I applied for Fall 2009 in February, was waitlisted mid-March, but was accepted for Spring 2010 in July with a 2.6/152 and some great softs. I wrote them two letters stating that STCL was my #1 choice yadda yadda. Hope this helps!

That is excellent! Congratulations! What a relief!
You made mention above that you were going to "hear something from STCL soon as in the next few days." Was that a premonition or did you have some insider information?
Were you notified by email?

Notified via e-mail. I would love to say it was a premonition but that would be a lie. I called the admissions office and told them that I would have to withdraw if I didn't hear from them soon because St. Mary's wanted their seat deposit by April 1. I explained that I didn't want to pay St. Mary's because they were my 4th choice and I had STCL ranked above them. Then I said that I would thus rather pay STCL the seat deposit, but would not be paying for two.

They told me that they were taking my file up to the dean's office and that I would be notified in the next couple of days. I felt really bad after the call because I didn't want it to sound like an ultimatum. But from my standpoint, I thought STCL was being rude by forcing me into such a situation in which I would have to waste $300.

Hope this helps, and GOOD LUCK TO THE REST OF YALL!

ALSO, When are admitted students notified of scholly awards? Not saying that I am going to be a recipient, but would like to know if they are sent out with acceptance letters or after...

I was admitted 3/11 and have received nothing further than the congrats email telling to to coordinate with financial aid. 1st deposit is due next week. I'm not sure any scholly info has been sent out.

Admitted to STCL today, but I'm in at one of my top choices. I'm dropping STCL as soon as my deposit's in at UIUC. Good luck waitlisters!

I think vaguely remember STCL saying that financial aid information isn't sent out until June/July. Not sure if this is correct though...

In today full-time. I called the admissions office last Friday and asked if it had been looked at yet. I was told that it went into review on Thursday and would switch hands to another two professors by early this week. I guess it went through pretty quickly once the review began.

Complete 2/18
never said it was "in review" on status checker
Admitted 3/29

Hope this helps anyone still waiting.

Thanks, 158 - 3.4

I'm still waiting on U of H which is my first choice/reach and have a few out-of-state admits. I've recently decided that stcl will definitely be it if all doesn't go well with U of H. I'm hoping a few of my softs can make up for a below median lsat. Just sitting and waiting now. GL to the rest of you still waiting.
