Hmm . . . those are good numbers, so maybe I was wrong about it being a rejection . . .

My status checker changed to decision this morning with a decision date of 2/17. I guess this is a rejection, or maybe a waitlist (I don't think we know yet how they are doing non-PT waitlists this year...). Mostly I am just amused because I'm in at Berkeley, Mich, and NU, and I only applied for significant other reasons (and the job doesn't look like it's going to pan out, thankfully... "Sorry, hun, but I can get into three top ten schools but not Duke. Long distance it is!") What on earth does Duke think it is playing at?

Dresden, any change?

Also changed to decision at duke this morning with a date of 2/17. We'll wait and see what sort of letter comes.

Edit: One of the articles I published is used in courses in Duke UG. I thought that might give me some sort of a boost, but it looks like not.

I too am at decision at Duke. From what I've heard they email you if you're in, so "Decision" with no such email means we can expect a ding or WL, correct?

I am under this impression as well. But I have heard about a few people get rejected via e-mail so who knows. Good luck.

Yeah, probably. Some people who went to decision on friday got their rejection letters today. As far as I can tell, though, no one has gotten a WL yet so we don't know if those are mailed or emailed. I have absolutely no way to substantiate this, but I think the 2/17 decision batch is a WL group, looking at numbers. I guess we will find out soon enough.

You know I was thinking the exact same thing. It looks like they had a huge batch of accepts/rejects on the 13th. I guess we will know soon enough.

Eh, I'll take a WL over a ding any day. Nothing to do but wait and see, I guess.

Count me among the 2/17 status checker changes. No email or anything. 168, 3.95. Didn't expect a ding, but who knows. Duke's been a jerk this year.

How do you know? Were you part of the 2/13 or 2/17 decisions?

Given my LSAT score, my softs would have to be Downey soft for this not to be a ding. We shall see.

Ok on an unrelated topic some of you might find this ammusing.

So the girl I have been "talking" to is a retard.

I called her excited to tell her I got into Vanderbilt. Her response - "What is Vanderbilt?"

I was like Vanderbilt School of Law. She was like "OH Congrats, is that better than [Local Tier Four School]"

Then we get into an argument about [Local Tier Four School] being crap.

Lets just say I wont be talking to her anymore....

Let me just make sure I have this straight: You're going to stop sleeping with a girl because she's unfamiliar with law school rankings?

Straight Ding, 2/13, mail came yesterday to Seattle.

167/3.85 Eng/2 years professional WE...
Complete back in early October...

I'm not sure what Duke is looking for this year...

Edit: I know what they are looking for, and it isn't a 167 LSAT, or even 168 it seems like... good luck with that approach :-p

Oh well, looks like Cornell it is (they were probably going to beat Duke if I got accepted there anyway, so I'm not mad :))

Decision on 2/17, thought I was nearly auto-ding too. They only notify WLs by email, right?

I'm still under review. Where I've been for 35 days. ...Not that I'm counting.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
