WL here too. Its far and away my top choice. Would it help the cause to fly across country to visit?

It might...but ultimately enough people need to withdraw their acceptances for it to matter.

Only 160 slots.

Yeah, I am sure that is true. I was just thinking that when making a decision on who to take of the WL, the assurance that that person will attend has to help at least some.

In that case, maybe you should write a letter that says if accepted off the WL you will guarantee attendance and will promptly withdraw from all other offers.

That is what I will probably end up doing. Just sucks that would end all chance at finaid (although I doubt they make offers to people on WL) and I would basically be committing to 60k in debt a year. O well, still worth it.

Wait listed via email this morning. Does anyone know what the trends/action has been with the wait list in the past couple years?

In via email this afternoon - the first response I've received. It's nice to begin on a high note.

3.63/172.

Applied Feb. 1; complete Feb. 11. (Status checker still reads "a decision has not yet been made.")

Best of luck to those still waiting to hear...

Does anyone have any info on how being waitlisted for the summer programs works? What are the chances of actually getting accepted before the early start. I applied to the JD/LLM in international law. I am planning on sending in a LOCI this week. Is there a priority waitlist for the summer programs?

They keep updating my status date, but it continually says "a decision has not yet been made". Is this normal? I realize I'm probably asking a stupid question but give me a break, Im losing my mind.

Yes, it's normal. Your status will continue to be "updated" (I think daily), even though the status itself (decision made/not made) may be the same.

I was waitlisted a few weeks ago but after hearing about the priority waitlist I called Duke to find out the details. The woman at the admissions office was not only stand-offish but pretended not to know what I was talking about when I mentioned the priority waitlist. When I asked her directly if they had one this year she said they have had them in the past but don't have one this year. So, either I am missing something of the office outright lied to me as many people on this board have said they received the priority waitlist e-mail. Not cool Duke, not cool :x

Withdrawing from priority reserve today. Good luck everyone, especially if it's your top choice!

Not cool at all. At least be honest about things, especially when you're confronting her with a specific question and she straight out lies? Obviously, I'm assuming she's just doing what she was told, but all this is making Duke less and less attractive.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
