Hey, congrats! I'm hoping to get in there, too. I think my numbers will let me. Think... hope... same thing.

I see from your posts that you are a self described non-URM with less than 160 on LSAT - what is your GPA?

I went complete around 1/9 or so. It was the last application that I sent out by about a month. I was very excited to hear back so quickly. I had a 166 and 3.44 from UIUC UG.

Wow, no kidding. Your numbers are great, even more so for Iowa, so maybe that's why. But in any case, that's crazy fast, haha.Ray D. O'Head wrote:I went complete around 1/9 or so. They put something like 50% of all applicants on hold before accepting or rejecting them. Pretty much to see how strong the applicant pool is. Good luck though.

Does anybody know when Iowa lets admitted students know about scholarships? Do they usually tell you in the acceptance letter? Or does it take a few days after for it to come?

Re: IN at University of Iowa
i actually got my scholarship information today! I received my email acceptance around 1/7, my actual mail acceptance 1/17, and my scholarship today. So i would say anywhere from a couple of weeks to a month is normal, from what i have gathered.

I too was accepted today. As an Iowa resident and UG, paying the in-state tuition is sounding like a better idea every day.

I'm out of state non-URM with 164/3.2 and hoping for the best. Iowa would be my top school (FT program) if admitted.

Re: IN at University of Iowa
Thanks. Well, you're practically my numbers twin, and I'm also non-URM. I should think you have a good shot, though I don't know how, if at all, my soft factors or residency affected their decision. Good luck!

Re: IN at University of Iowa
Got an email today (wednesday) 11:30 am offering admission. Been complete since mid November. Pretty excited about this after being rejected by Illinois. I am out of state as well. Good luck to everyone else!
