Re: University of Washington
as to residency, is this not valid? http://www.law.washington.edu/FinAid/Residency.aspx
i went to uw undergrad but now live in ca. should i get into uw law and go there, i think i could make a strong argument that i was returning to washington for other than educational purposes. otherwise, i was going to rely on this.

Well, it doesn't seem like they have a password-protected admitted students website, so I guess there's no way to find out what the decision is until I get the letter in the mail.

I hope "decision" doesn't only mean rejected or WL...
just bc some status checkers change to "congrats, etc."
Good Luck!!
I'm still in review also (01/05)

I'd guess that all decisions at this point are positive.

Re: University of Washington
That's a good way of looking at it haha.
And if they are the type of school that puts "decision" only when making a rejection, I'm haping I'm still in review.
If they are the type of school that refuses to put positive or negative status, then I'm anxious.

Re: University of Washington
Considering the stats of everyone that has "decision," I'm thinking it's a good thing. They probably handed out "decisions" the the yes pile today and will begin looking at the "maybe" pile tomorrow. As I'm hoping to be in the "maybe" pile, it means more waiting.

My status changed dates from 12/2 to 1/15 but remained "in review." Not sure what that means...

Decision as well... I'm going to guess that most of them are acceptances based off the numbers of people going to decision.

Oh my god.... I went to decision today too!. Im pretty freaked. I have been dreaming about going to UW for a long time. I live in seattle, and walked by the law school so many times...... God I hope the early decision are acceptances.

"In Review" today...but judging from the length of time some of you have had the same status I guess that's nothing to get too excited about.

Re: University of Washington
I'm beginning to doubt whether the UW adcomms actually look at anything before Jan. 15th. My overactive imagination also tells me they don't look at any out-of-state apps until they've admitted or dinged every Washington resident.
My chances are extraordinarily low number-wise, but I'm still holding out serious hope. UW has great public interest and international programs, plus I'm really dying to get back to Seattle after having lived there for a couple of years. I'll likely get into SU but it'll be hard choosing it over any of the east coast schools to which I've applied.

Re: University of Washington
If it helps with any of the speculation, I went to decision on 1/26 with a 3.8/169 and WA residency.
Also got into a good number of higher-ranked schools with the same essays, etc., so I would hope that there's nothing horrible in my UW essays to warrant a rejection or WL.
As a WA native, UW is one of my top choices. Nothing beats the PNW!!!

Re: University of Washington
My status checker changed on 1/26, but the decision was dated 1/15. I would assume that this means that my file was reviewed and decided on before 1/15, but they were holding off on notifications for some reason.
I think that turnovers will start coming faster, now that they have decided to release the first batch of decisions.

Re: University of Washington
My status just changed to decision this morning (dated 1/18). I really hope it means something good is coming in the mail soon! I am a resident and UW is definitely one of my top choices.
For those of you that are interested I had been "in review" since 12/9, my LSAT is 75%, GPA a little less than 25%, + relevant M.S. and other good "softs"
