I applied a while ago and I'm wondering WHY THE FUCK they haven't gotten back to me. I never even got an e-mail saying that I went complete or anything. Can't log into the status checker either. FUCK YOU, UH!!!

UH does send out status checker emails so that's strange. I would call the office and see what's up.lsatismybitchlover wrote:I applied a while ago and I'm wondering WHY THE FUCK they haven't gotten back to me. I just went complete on 1/8, but I expect to hear back from them pretty quickly.

Yeah, I think you should call and confirm that your application has been received. I got my e-mail with directions on how to check my status within 12 hours of submitting my application. Kelly Polk is the Assistant Dean of Admissions. She's been very helpful. Ask for her.lsatismybitchlover wrote:I applied a while ago and I'm wondering WHY THE FUCK they haven't gotten back to me. Nothing. I doubt anything will change until after MLK Day, and probably not until the week after, at the earliest.

Rec'd email acceptance 01/04, just rec'd snail mail letter. Seems pretty generic, explained the scholarship info would be sent in separate mailing if I qualify.
Good luck to those who are still waiting.

Status is now "File under review", just chaged yesterday. And yeah ubersooner, I expect to get in. It is my safety school. I think Sooners should probably just stick to self loathing posts anyway...

They seem to be taking their sweet time!! I have heard back from various other schools for quite a while now. My file has been complete since October 27th and my status has still not changed at all! Come on U of H! You are one of my top choices, as I want to practice in Houston!!!!! Hopefully hear back sometime soon.... 160/ 3.72

Re: In at University of Houston
I wonder how long it takes, on average, from the time you go from "under review" to "decision rendered"? My status just chaged to "under review" on 1/22 but I'd really like to have this acceptance in my back pocket sooner than later. It would really ease my apprehension about Texas and other schools...

went to "decision rendered" today...no email
I'm guessing that means I'm rejected
Same thing happened with Baylor actually, wonder if I did something wrong on my application?

Just because you havn't received an email yet doesn't mean you'll be rejected. I'd think your numbers would be good enough to get you in. I'm glad to see their making some decisions right now though. Do you remember how long you were "under review" before your status changed to "decision rendered"?

if you get rejected it would be shocking, and I'd be screwed. Mine has yet to go to In Review and it's making me nervous.smiley26 wrote:"in review" since 1/4/09, I appreciate the encouragement guys and good luck to everyone!

Thats a pretty quick turnaround. Hopefully I'll know the verdict in 2-3 weeks. I need to hear from a bunch of schools by the end of February... so my head will be clear when I go to Vegas.

Re: In at University of Houston
Sorry for the long wait, I went complete 11-13, can't remember when I was under review.
And for the poster who is worried, I haven't received an email/call, and my stats are 3.4/175. I applied because I'm in Houston, got a fee waiver, and figured what the heck. So if I haven't heard, I think you'll be ok
.
Living in Houston, U of H is a very underrated school, and good luck to everyone who wants in!

Update: Sent the office of admissions an email changing my address/requesting decisions be sent via email since I will be traveling about and received one back saying that my letter would be sent "by the end of this week". They don't seem very eager, I am still guessing that means a rejection.smiley26 wrote:162/3.7 Texas resident

What do you mean by eager? They don't get all excited if you're going to be an admit. Trust me, you'll get in! Your numbers are great for UH.smiley26 wrote:Update: Sent the office of admissions an email changing my address/requesting decisions be sent via email since I will be traveling about and received one back saying that my letter would be sent "by the end of this week".
