I haven't gotten an interview yet, but my SO got an interview like 10 days after UR1-- he didn't go UR2 at any point, and the interview request was through email.

Anyone else heard back recently? I applied 10/22, UR1 10/30, and haven't heard a word since then... should I be worried? It seems like many are hearing back about interviews with a quicker turnaround! UVA is absolutely my first choice, so my fingers and toes are all crossed. LSAT 173 & GPA 3.62. Thanks!

Checking in- was admitted 11/13. Can echo the many positive things people have said about the admissions staff!

Not all interview before being accepted, but it appears the vast majority do. UR2 is simply when you are “under review” and then the status date changes, but the status remains “under review”.swong1267 wrote:Do all acceptances interview beforehand? And what is UR2?

Very late to the game but applied ED (<25 GPA, <25 LSAT):
UR1 - 10/23
UR2 - 11/7
Wait listed - 11/12

You aren't late! Either to the thread or to the current law school admissions cycle.swimbikerun15 wrote:Very late to the game but applied ED (<25 GPA, <25 LSAT):

Consider retaking for a higher LSAT - if your GPA is below the 25th for UVA, you'll likely need a much higher LSAT to get in anywhere in the T14 (unless you're a URM).

Anyone else been under review since early December & not heard anything back? My application was marked complete 19 November, and has been under review since 11 December.

Hi all, my application was complete 10/9/18 and Under Review 10/10/18. I haven't heard anything and there have been no updates since then. I am getting fairly nervous since UVA is certainly my top choice. Any advice? Is there someone I should reach out to, or steps I should be taking to ensure strong consideration in the application process?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Do you have anything to add to your application? Did you include a strong Why UVA? Have you visited the school?alleigh426 wrote:Hi all, my application was complete 10/9/18 and Under Review 10/10/18. You could visit and follow-up with a LOCI.
What does MyLSN say about your admission chances? Does it think you're in waitlist territory or does it think you have a strong chance at admission. If you're numbers aren't quite there, it's possible that there's not much you can do. If you're numbers are high (above both medians), some indication that UVA is your top choice might be wise to avoid the risk of yield protection.

3.26 gpa, 172 lsat
submitted expedited decision on Jan 15, received interview request w Dean Faulk on Jan 17, and was accepted at the end of my interview on Jan 23
The dean was super nice and friendly, and I had a great experience during the interview (even though I kinda fumbled at the end). Absolutely ecstatic to be attending this fall!
