U. Miami Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
I didn't see a thread up yet for this cycle so here you go.
I got admitted, and the process was painless. Will be planning a visit in the spring.
Anybody else apply/get accepted?

In, but I can't convince the wife to move down to Miami.... odd - also not sold on practicing only in Miami

I got in with a $25k a year scholarship on 1/9. I'm still waiting for my Philly schools to get back to me.

Just so you know, Miami will not get you a job Philly (if that's where you want to work)Tcookphl wrote:I got in with a $25k a year scholarship on 1/9. I'm still waiting for my Philly schools to get back to me.

I'm open to also practicing in Miami and South Florida. I have both family, friends, and I'm latina so it's always been one of the cities I'd be open to practice in; however, practicing in Philly is my top choice.OakBrook2021 wrote:Just so you know, Miami will not get you a job Philly (if that's where you want to work)Tcookphl wrote:I got in with a $25k a year scholarship on 1/9. That's my biggest concern. I live in Philly now and the COL is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than Miami. Apparently, UM is notorious for not budging on scholarships but I'm definitely going to try my best. If anything it's a good negotiation tool for Philly schools if they do not give me money.OakBrook2021 wrote:Ah ok. I'd also try to get more $ out of them. What are your stats like if you don't mind me asking? I applied very late but I'd love to go here. I just didn't think I'd be able to afford to go here.houstonunc0l wrote:Just got in today (2 day turnaround) with $36k/yr scholarship

Applied Saturday night, in first thing this morning. I hope that's a good sign for a scholarship.

Did everyone get the scholarship info with the acceptance or was it a different email/with the acceptance letter? Thank you.
