I woke up yesterday and it was 13 degrees here. Pretty sure I almost froze to death, lol. Definitely would need to get a better winter coat, I realized yesterday how thin all of mine are.subpoenacolada wrote:I’m in Arkansas and it’s been about 5 degrees all week (pretty abnormal for us). Did anyone who received a Dean's Scholarship get anything in the mail about it?

Sorry if this was asked already, but how long does it typically take after being accepted to learn about $$

If you got in before the New Year, any day now. I believe after that, a pretty quick turnaround. Can't remember if it's immediate or within a week or two.181plz wrote:Sorry if this was asked already, but how long does it typically take after being accepted to learn about $$

Unless it's different for people being admitted now vice back when fin aid wasn't handing out scholarships, that admit packet coming in the mail won't have your scholarship offer.181plz wrote:principalagent wrote:If you got in before the New Year, any day now. Re: Michigan Law c/o 2021 Applicants
Just got an email saying I got the Dean's Scholarship! Woo! But it looks like they don't negotiate:
"Please be aware that once we have awarded a merit scholarship, it is not our practice to “compete” with awards from other schools. But while we do not increase merit awards once they are made, we would be very happy to discuss any concerns you may have about financing your education."
Anyone have experience with this?

If we havent gotten scholarship information should we not expect to receive any? I was admitted in December and was wondering if I was out of luck or if its rolling basis

They let you know even if they aren’t offering you anything so just hang tight and hope for the best! Pretty sure it’s based primarily on when you got admitted.TheMule wrote:If we havent gotten scholarship information should we not expect to receive any? Looking at the admission decision timelines on LSN paints a pretty bleak picture at this point

Does anyone else actually dislike the daily status checker update? The fact that it just seems to update every day, automatically, is no longer satisfying!

I used to check it every morning as soon as I woke up the first like 3 weeks, now I forget that I ever even did thatguppies16 wrote:Does anyone else actually dislike the daily status checker update? The fact that it just seems to update every day, automatically, is no longer satisfying!

We basically had opposite turnarounds with "twin schools" such as UVA and Mich: I was in the first wave in from Mich but still nothing from UVA, applied in sept...Slippin' Jimmy wrote:Been complete since early September, nothing
