Just finished my interview, definitely did a great job selling me on Vandy. Submitting tonight hopefully!

Just finished my interview. Dude seemed chill but didn't do a great job on selling the school.

Just sent in my application, and I'd already set up a campus visit and interview for next month.

Just saw that I had a fee waiver email that I didn't notice.
May throw an app at them but not sure since I never planned on applying to Vandy.

Their waivers might also be somewhat hidden. I didn't know I had one until I submitted last night, and then I got the email notifying me of my waiver this morning.

Thanks for the responses! I want to apply, but I was holding out for a waiver (167/3.74). I thought I would be in the next CRS search group, but I guess not?

Interviewed earlier, good impression! (the guy seemed positive, let's hope)
With some $$$, this isn't a bad option!
The same happened to me, I finally applied 10 days ago. The more I look into it, the more I like Vandy! BL+FC 60%, PI+Gov 12%, NYC is the first market and much of their south placement is due to self-selection (according to adcoms but also to class provenience).Mikey wrote:Just saw that I had a fee waiver email that I didn't notice.

When do they generally start letting people know about acceptances/denials?
Also, does anyone know if they give much if any money to splitters. ie 167, 3.3, AA URMs

I think their "Complete" email says mid November.

Given that Vanderbilt cut their last class by like 20% and still lost an LSAT point last year, wonder if they'll be a little more generous with money this year than MyLSN predicts.

I don't remember, but it was enough that she seriously considered it and then used it to negotiate. sry!AaronCarter wrote:heyduchess wrote:I had a friend with a 3.4/167 non-URM get a good bit of money last year.AaronCarter wrote:When do they generally start letting people know about acceptances/denials?

Checking in! Super interested in Vandy. On a waitlist for an interview... anyone else do one of the "city" interviews (if that makes sense)?

Re: Vanderbilt Law School c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Visited and interviewed today. I love everything about this school, so I really hope I didn’t bomb my interview. It was somewhat short (20ish minutes) but apparently that is normal with the interviewer I had. I was told it would be another week or two before they really started reviewing apps, and that I could expect to hear something by December (I applied about a week ago).
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
