Kind of a crap shoot. Last year I think generally people got more money from Michigan, but at both schools (more prevalent at UVA) significantly more people got low amounts or zero aid. Mich still probably came out on top, but honestly I think UVA was a wash with how many people got fat 0s
It seems Duke plays everything pretty even. The worst case I saw was an applicant I thought was equal to me got 30k less, which is a tiny differential when you consider in the UVA thread 173, 3.7X applicants were getting anywhere from $150,000 to 0. Most people are within 15k of everyone in their applicant range. There's good and bad there, and obviously if you can get lucky then M or V will be a better bet, but Duke is a relatively consistent known value which can help if you draw short straws.
It's also important to keep in mind that people who get zero aid are not very inclined to update their LSN with that fact.
