Do you mind sharing how long ago you submitted/interviewed (if you did an interview)? ASW didn't work for me which makes me little bit nervous but I did only complete my alumni interview a week ago so I think (and hope) its possible that my decision just hasnt been made yet.anacabana wrote:In at Georgetown via admitted students website!!!

Sure! Submitted in mid-October and had a group interview in late November. I still haven't even gotten my acceptance letter in the mail.monsterc_ wrote:Do you mind sharing how long ago you submitted/interviewed (if you did an interview)? I see GULC also has a rather hefty deposit (similar discussion happened on the GW thread).

Long-time lurker, first time posting. How does the ASW trick work? Can anyone with a valid email and last name request a password? And only if the username and password that are sent actually work then you've been admitted? Or, does Georgetown only send the username and password to those who have been admitted, but it takes some time before you are able to log in?monsterc_ wrote:Do you mind sharing how long ago you submitted/interviewed (if you did an interview)? You find out by going to the site, entering your last name and email and clicking forgot password. Then you can see if it works and log in after you receive an email with the password info.
So, I did get into the admitted students website. Is that actually confirmation that I got in though?
Has anyone who got in via the admissions website and not yet received the snail mail acceptance called the admissions office to verify that it is an actual acceptance?

From what I've read in past years, if they email you with password information you're in! It just takes a few days in some cases to be able to log in

How out of the ball park did you guys go with your optional supplements? I'm having fun with mine, but it literally has nothing to do with GULC/law school/why I want to go (doing the Top 10) one.

Mine was "Top 10 Things I Learned from my Pets." It was totally silly but something I knew I'd have fun writing. I think you'll be fine!dietcoked wrote:How out of the ball park did you guys go with your optional supplements? I just got in last week. My optional response was basically "top 10 most embarrassing facts about myself." I am sure you'll be fine with anything. Good luck!dietcoked wrote:How out of the ball park did you guys go with your optional supplements? I'm going, wasn't planning on it but I scored super cheap airline tickets, and it would be good to get this one out of the way early with so many admitted students days being later in the spring. If there's a few of us going we could do a TLS bar crawl.Mikey wrote:I might. Awesome, hopefully you can make it! Trip is going to be relatively inexpensive for me, I got a super cheap flight and it looks like they have a program to stay with a current student, which would really lessen costs if I decide to do that.Mikey wrote:would be up for that! just gotta figure out some traveling stuff first and decide if I can afford to go atmSlippin' Jimmy wrote:I'm going, wasn't planning on it but I scored super cheap airline tickets, and it would be good to get this one out of the way early with so many admitted students days being later in the spring. How's your cycle going? I haven't been on TLS much lately since my cycle has really slowed down. Just waiting on financial aid and a couple more schools at this point.

Re: Georgetown University Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017/2018)
Sorry to be repetitive, I just wanted to see if a consensus had been reached. I requested a password to the ASW and was sent a username/password, but wasn't able to actually use this info to log into the site. Does the consensus seem to be that it just takes a few days for the login info to work, and this is an acceptance?lawskool2021 wrote:Long-time lurker, first time posting. How does the ASW trick work? I believe prior to admittance, it would say information not found, or something like that. It wouldn't send you an email. Seems like you're in to me.Doris95 wrote:Sorry to be repetitive, I just wanted to see if a consensus had been reached. I just got in via the admitted student website! What a great Christmas surprise.
I'm anticipating that the snail mail letter won't get to me so quickly in China, but I'm looking forward to receiving it.

Does anyone know if they give a travel stipend for open house/ASW? How much?

For people who interviewed--how long did it take you to be able to log in via the ASW?
