The only advantage is right there in the name itself: You get your decision early. IMO, you should only apply ED to a school that is your absolute first choice, even without scholarship money.thehours wrote:Hi! Checking in. Are there actual admissions advantages to applying ED?

Re: NYU c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018 cycle)
I've always assumed AnBryce to be first-generation period - I could be absolutely wrong and I hope I am!! There's an AnBryce thread in the Ask Questions board so I'm sure someone could shed some light there.SopranoSaxophone wrote:For AnBryce, does being the first to pursue a graduate or professional degree mean that one of your parents can still have a college bachelors degree and it's okay? I want to be SUPER careful before I apply that I don't certify I'm the first to pursue a "graduate or professional" degree if bachelors counts as one, because my father has a bachelors. No on in my family has ever gotten a masters, PhD, anything along those lines--which is how I am defining "graduate or professional" in my head, but I just want to double-check.

Checking in as FUCK. Still trying to determine if I'm better off going with more prestige -- I'm gunning to be a federal public defender. But dat Capital Defense clinic . . .

I don’t think you’ll be lacking in prestige or support if your goal is public interest (and especially public defense) from NYU.littlelibertine wrote:Checking in as FUCK. Thank goodness, because I am completely in love with the school and it seems like a good fit personally as well as professionally.principalagent wrote:I don’t think you’ll be lacking in prestige or support if your goal is public interest (and especially public defense) from NYU.littlelibertine wrote:Checking in as FUCK. Okay so, this is entirely my own fault but can anyone advise or ease my mind?
I have already submitted my app but did not disclose a speeding ticket on my C&F. I had just submitted UVA which specifically excludes tickets, and for whatever reason it just did not occur to me to include it. I'm now kicking myself... Should I email admissions or just hope for the best?

Email them! Even if NYU doesn't catch it, you could have issues with the bar if you end up going to NYU.emilyLl wrote:Okay so, this is entirely my own fault but can anyone advise or ease my mind?

Everything I have ever read on here says err on the side of disclosure.emilyLl wrote:Okay so, this is entirely my own fault but can anyone advise or ease my mind?

Has NYU sent out any fee waivers since the September LSAT?

Anyone still waiting on fee waivers? I have a 172/Superior (no GPA for international students). Wondering how long I should wait around for a fee waiver or if for some reason I've been overlooked and should suck it up and just get my app in asap.

I have 171/3.95 and never got one - got sick of waiting and submitted. Admittedly I took the Sept. LSAT so CAS hasn't been complete for more than 2 weeks.EnglishApplicant2017 wrote:Anyone still waiting on fee waivers? I have a 172/Superior (no GPA for international students). Submitted 10/18, UR on 10/20. Anyone have any sense of when they'll start doing decisions? I tried to check last year's thread but it was 240 pages lol.

And that’s the last one I think I’m expecting (not optimistic about Chicago).
