Dear Dean Williams and Admissions Committee
Dean Williams and not Dean Kleinrock?
It better be the former lol

Isn't Williams the dean of admissions?

emails from the school (deferring me and confirming my having been WL'd) are signed "Dean Cassandra Williams". It's safe to address everything to her or the committee at large.

Thanks everyone. One more question: did your subject line simply mention "additional materials" or should it explicitly say "letter of continued interest"

A variation of the former. I thought "letter of continued interest" sounded too much like "wow chichi reads a lot of law school blogs."

Columbia referring to it as a letter of continued interest made me feel like I had a free pass to title it so for every school that got one from me. But I'm with you... every time I wrote it out, a narrator showed up: "And then, they found Sybill Ann Dorsett on top law schools dot com."

I would just like to mention how I called a few days ago about submitting my LOCI and was told that the best method was to mail it! I then asked her twice more: "Are you sure you want me to postal mail it?" She then finally said: "actually, you can just email it."

Another NYU story for your day.

It honestly drives me crazy that their e-mail says "wait list" and their online status checker says "waitlist." WHICH IS CORRECT??

That was my concern but my other perception is that these schools gave a lot of attractive scholarships to its Admitted students so I hope that that the justification for its high yield this year.
Just reading the email UVA sent, basically says " LOL , you think you want our school, sadly, we are not going to accept any, if at all", "if you have any interest, show it now, if not, just withdraw". :| :| :|
Can one of y'all PM me the UVA email? I was waitlisted as well, but didn't get anything...

They kick us off the waitlist, HYSCCN go crazy with waitlist movement and then UVA takes major Ls...
Did they kick people from the WL today too? I just got the brutal email with the "if at all" and "letters of rec are pointless" language.
Yeah I got booted, although to be fair, I thought I withdrew from the waitlist...

I called it a letter of "enduring" interest for one school. That's right bitches, I've got a 172 LSAT and access to a thesaurus, who wants a piece of me?*

*no one. no one wants a piece of me.

I feel like the synonyms "chronic," "deathless," " ineradicable," and "incessant" are more suitable for the character of my application cycle.
