Re: Harvard Law c/o 2020 Waitlist
Any reasonable theories as to how the lack of high scores this year will affect WL activity for 175+ splitters?

Do js1bs have a 100% admission rate (assuming all who get one affirm their interest)?

Were all the JS1 slots filled in the first wave? Meaning out of the 40 JS1 slots how many were filled?SpookySalem92 wrote:I went through the c/o 2018 thread and that's how it worked then ^.
First JS1 wave was week of May 6 (40 slots)
Then a few JS1bs, then a JS2 wave about two weeks later.
Smaller JS1 wave end of May (7 slots)
Sporadic js1/js2 thereafter.

Don't think they dove as deep as we have been into slot openings, but it seems there were some extra.

Hey Harvard, I know I am unworthy but I would really like a JS1. Thank you!

Sent my LOCI in a couple days ago but think it was too late for them to add it to my file before the JS1s went out.
Waiting for a miracle now.

Havnt received confirmation after sending my LOCI about a week ago. Is this typical, or should I resend?

See above; if, to borrow from the loquacious adcom of UVA, "past normally is prologue", there would be a small JS1 echo-wave at the end of May.

Those of you got JS1s from the WL.
What kind of killer LOCI's did you write? Could you at least share the general idea?

As a fellow person lacking a JS1 at this time, I really just don't think it is or should be taken that personally. I don't think it necessarily has anything to do with the LOCI someone wrote so much as a random set of factors (numbers, demographics, etc...) that for whatever reason bumped their file closer to the top. Don't give up hope, because it isn't over yet! On the other hand, I do think (and have been working really hard to internalize/accept) that the healthiest thing to do is probably to start viewing this as a matter of "it would be incredible if this happens, but I need to start going through life as if it isn't going to."

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2020 Waitlist
Remind me, folks: is there any serious likelihood of post-WL JS1's *not* getting a JS2? As in, people actually posted on TLS, LSN or noted in a spreadsheet that they had a post-WL JS1 and then got dinged?

Depends what you mean by "serious likelihood," because I don't know how to quantify it but an interview invitation at any point isn't a guarantee of admission. If you go through the 2018 thread there were people who got post-WL interviews and ended up getting dinged.MrJD2020 wrote:Remind me, folks: is there any serious likelihood of post-WL JS1's *not* getting a JS2? Hmm. I suppose the question is, is there consensus that >50%, or >75% of Post-WL JS1's get a JS2?SpookySalem92 wrote:Depends what you mean by "serious likelihood," because I don't know how to quantify it but an interview invitation at any point isn't a guarantee of admission.
