I keep muttering that last bit to myself but it doesn't seem to be working, strange.Rigo wrote:Could be Friday for the non-JS1 crowd![]()

Yeah I'm pretty sure you can. You don't have to withdraw from other waitlists, just all acceptances.kbzon wrote:is there any way of managing an acceptance by another school off the waitlist but still remain on the waitilist at Harvard Law? I want to accept but the possibility of HLS.... AAAHHHHH
Yes they do. Your stepmother is included in your father's household if they are married. And H doesn't use CSS.Rigo wrote:1) not sure, but I would expect so if your dad and stepmom are married since its household income.ZVBXRPL wrote:Any1 know if Harvard looks at stepmothers income? Does H use CSS?

Uhh okay well the info is coordinated by CSS. Idk how technical we are getting here.applepie3 wrote:Yes they do. Your stepmother is included in your father's household if they are married. Haha, okay. Just in terms of the process, the students are not using CSS to submit their application. There is a special platform. I have no idea if the financial aid office coordinate with CSS to handle the data though.Rigo wrote:Uhh okay well the info is coordinated by CSS. Last year was so bad for WL students. I have been hoping that the strong economic growth so far this year will mean that college graduates who concurrently apply for a job and law school will get lucrative job offers and withdraw if they are offered admission to law schools. If this is the case, it might really be good news for us.bearedman8 wrote:There were 18 JS1 spots in the first wave last year and 40 in the first wave the year before that. Let's hope that it's closer to the 40 range this year.

so yeah in the last 3 years the majority of post-WL JS1s went out anywhere between 4 and 10 business days after May 1bearedman8 wrote: 2016 looked like:

(No JS1bs except for international)
First JS2s reported May 20th

2014 was:
First WL JS1s reported May 6th.
First JS1bs reported May 13th
First JS2s reported May 15th (went to both those with JS1bs on the 13th and those with post-WL JS1s)
First dings reported June 17th

So for last year and 2015,does this mean there were no prewaitlist JS! people who got off the waitlist? Or is it merely that there we no JS1bs and instead just straight JS2s for these people?

Hopefully that means a lot of H admits took the money elsewhere this year.SpookySalem92 wrote:I don't know how indicative WL movement at other schools may be, but as a point of reference UVA sent out an email to let waitlistees know that they didn't anticipate dipping into the WL much ("if at all") based on received deposits.
That's what I was thinking as an optimistic interpretation, haha. Come on, debt-averse folks who don't qualify for need-based aid!Rigo wrote:Hopefully that means a lot of H admits took the money elsewhere this year.SpookySalem92 wrote:I don't know how indicative WL movement at other schools may be, but as a point of reference UVA sent out an email to let waitlistees know that they didn't anticipate dipping into the WL much ("if at all") based on received deposits.
