In past years have the emails gone out in waves or do they normally come on one day?

After further deliberation, the Admissions Committee has decided to postpone making
a decision on your candidacy. This action is not intended as a reflection of the strength of your application, but rather our inability to make a favorable or final decision on your candidacy at this time. However, since we anticipate some vacancies becoming available during the summer,
we are continuing to hold your application in our Reserve group. We do suggest, however, that you proceed with alternate plans, since it is not possible now to determine what final action will be taken.

The next round of reviews for candidates on Reserve will begin at the end of June, and we anticipate notifying such candidates of their status by mid-July. At that time some applicants may be offered admission; some will be noti ed that Columbia was unable to act favorably on their candidacy this year. Others, however, will be asked if they wish to continue on Reserve in order to be considered for any openings that may arise. Classes for rst-year Columbia Law School students begin in mid-August.

After considering carefully whether or not you wish to remain in consideration for admission to Columbia this August, kindly notify us of that decision. You may do so by submitting the online Reserve Response Form at http://www.law.columbia.edu/secondreserve as soon as possible but no later than Friday, June 16, 2017. If you do wish to remain in our Reserve group, please ensure that the contact information you provide is up to date.

While we regret the uncertainties created when we are unable to make a nal determination on a candidate’s application, we take this action to provide you with every possible opportunity to be chosen for admission to our Class of 2020.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continuing interest in Columbia Law School.

I'm glad I wasn't dinged but mid-July? A bitch needs to sign a lease, I can't be homeless waiting on Columbia to get it together. Has HYS started pulling from their waitlist yet?

I think I know what he/she means. I also tried filling out the Second Reserve form and received the error that my information does not match any application in their database, which essentially implies that they've deleted my data because they decided to reject me.

Should I try filling out the form too? Does it really mean we're rejected?

I think it definitely means you're not currently on the second reserve list.

I mean at this point, it's essentially speculation on my part. That said, i have looked at last year's forum and it appears that all the second reserve went out in one day. And those who didn't get it received a rejection letter about a week later. Also, i feel like it's somewhat in line with the reverse trick which was to log into a school's admitted students website to see (S/O to NYU Waiters lol) Anyways, i could be completely off, so take it fwiw

I seriously underperformed this cycle (imo) and not knowing why is incredibly frustrating.

Did you apply late in the cycle? I applied in February/March and I think that's why I'm not getting into my top choices

I specifically asked emails. Gonna call again tomorrow and be like "...is it over"

Was just wondering, did you ask/did she say if more admissions decisions will be coming out in general, or more emails specifically?

On one hand I would like closure to say they are cutting more people. On the other hand, I want to keep hope alive. Until we get letters though, It's hard to say.
