University of Tennessee c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I applied in early December and haven't heard anything back or had any status changer movement. Is anyone else applying to Tennessee?

I applied. I went there for undergrad for a while and liked Knoxville. I could see myself attending if the money at Vandy or Duke end up not being where I want. There are a few places in TN I really like and have some ties, so I think I'd be ok if I got stuck practicing in the state.

Fellow UTK grads! Have you heard back from them yet? I'm not sold on going there, but I am hoping they give me an affordable regional option to consider. I loved Knoxville and could definitely live there again.DriveLikeNashvillian wrote:I applied. I went there for undergrad for a while and liked Knoxville. I didn't finish undergrad there. Dad got really sick for a while so I transferred closer to home. Hated to have left. They offered me 75%. I've heard UTK is pretty negotiation-friendly, so I'm hoping I can get them to bump it up to full if I don't get at least half from Vandy.tncats wrote:Fellow UTK grads! Applied in November and it took about 2 weeks to get acceptance. Currently have a 75% scholarship for out of state.

I applied early January and still nothing. I am undergrad here now, finishing in may.

Does anyone know when the first seat deposit is due? I am on the wait list and curious when I may know something.

In here. Waiting on some other schools' decisions (W&M, W&L, GMU, UNC) that are ahead of this school on my list, but am giving it some consideration.

I was leaning against going here due to expense, but scholarship lowering to in-state tuition and them some sure brings it back into play a bit.

Has anyone else received an e-mail that mentioned they were considering out of state wait-listed applicants for in-state tuition? I'm not sure if this was a probe to weed out those that are not interested in attending in the fall.
