University of Richmond C/O 2020 Applicants(2016-2017)

Post by Ferrisjso » Mon Dec 12, 2016 2:21 pm

There wasn't a thread for Richmond yet, so I decided to start one. Good luck to all fellow applicants! :D

Applied 11/23 so I guess I'll be waiting a bit longer.

In 11/28 with a scholarship. They wouldnt tell me what the dollar amount is, and they say they're saving that information until March. Do any other schools do this?

None have done that to me yet. Yeah, I really like Richmond but that could be a problem because march is when some schools require a deposit(one of the two schools I got into requires deposit by March 15) by giving very little time to compare choices financially and make an informed decision.

Has anyone heard anything recently? I applied 11/7 and still nothing. Doesn't look like a lot of movement on LSN.

In with a call on a Sunday. Waiting till March is a huge downside...cuts it really close

Applied early Jan and haven't heard anything yet. From looking at the other posts on this thread I'm thinking it will be a while. Their lack of a status checker makes me sad but the emails from their admissions office that have nothing to do with my application make me sadder  If you have heard back, about how long did you wait between submitting and decision?

I applied early November and still haven't heard anything. Doesn't look like there has been a lot of movement but it is a little worrisome!

That is AWESOME. Will you go? I'd love to hear about it if you do (and if you don't mind sharing). Is this one of your top choices?

Yes! Actually it's a funny story. They said it would be me and one other admitted student. The other admitted student turns out to be my girlfriend of 14 months and it's the night before Valentine's Day. Thanks Richmond!

But really yes I'll check in and let everyone y'all know.

I received an email from the Director of Admission regarding an ABA scholarship opportunity. I was wondering whether this means I've gotten accepted or not since I haven't heard anything from Richmond, and the only other schools to email me about this opportunity are ones that I've already been accepted to.

I have been waiting on Richmond for over 3 months now and have seen little movement on acceptances. I also go this email, but am wondering if this delayed process is normal?

When I went on my tour/visit back in early January the director of admissions told me to expect a decision sometime in February, so I'm assuming it's normal.

If you have been accepted, you would've received a call from the Dean. That's how they notify. I got an e-mail about an ABA scholarship opp. from Emory and I didn't even apply there.

When I spoke with the director of admissions after my tour, he told me that I could expect to hear back sometime in February. I'm wondering whether it would be okay to contact him if I don't get a decision by Wednesday, or if I should just wait it out?

I would wait it out, but would also check LSN to see if people with your stats/submit date are still waiting.

Still anxiously waiting to hear from Richmond. I was out of the country for about two weeks and was dying with the limited access to my phone/voicemail. This is the very last reply I'm waiting for and it's a real contender! I went to undergrad in Richmond and I love the city plus the tuition is cheaper than some of my options. Come onnnnn, Richmond!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
