Just submitted my application today! Fingers crossed. I love the campus and the city is undoubtedly stunning. Does anyone know anything about the law student community/culture at USD?

In today via email. Propsects of living in sd for the next three years sounds nice BUT not sure if the program is entirely worth it. Anyone know how well USD does in placing grads in judicial clerkships?

Decision: 1/10
Does anyone know if they send everyone an admissions email?

Decision rendered on January 6th.
Scholarship offer same day shortly after.
Funny thing is that I got an email from a group on campus that stated "We understand that you have been offered a place in the coming year's University of San Diego law school class. Congratulations!" before I had actually gotten the acceptance email from SD.
I'm most likely not going here--offered more $$ from schools higher on my list.

they sent me a letter and an email, but the acceptance email came first. not sure why but their system emails at around 1pm. thats not very considerate. once i received the acceptance email, it was almost impossible to be productive at work.vho1791 wrote:Complete: 1/7socalpal wrote:In today via email. Got accepted today! Didn´t get an acceptance email, just one scholarship email. Got the best scholarship they offer. But it doesn´t cover all of the tuition and I have a school that will, plus a $2,500 stipend. I probably won´t go here, unless all my other schools decide to be stingy, then I´ll compare it to the better offer and see what school I like better.

According to the email and website: $45,000 per year. Tuition is almost $50,000. It's not a bad deal at all, but I like the idea of graduating law school with absolutely no debt.between3characters wrote:What's the best scholarship they offer?TheTaylor wrote:Got accepted today! I'm in the same boat as you. A couple full offers from better schools. I grew up in San Diego, and my family lives here. Tough decision to make.TheTaylor wrote:Got accepted today! Thanks for that. Is there anything important you think one should consider before going to SD? What made it your first choice?benjaye wrote: USD is pretty generous with competing scholarship offers from other schools. Just speak with financial aid once you have info regarding other award packages. A few friends received multiple unsolicited scholarship bumps throughout the summer.
Yes, I am a member of an ethnic-based org, a business org, and I have a leadership position with one of the law frats.

Nervous that I haven't gotten a decision yet! Been complete for only a week or so but since other people have gotten decisions so quickly it's making me anxious.
Edit: heard back a few hours later, lol. Accepted, yay!
