If I stay in NYC I will probably end up attending Cardozo, especially if they give me a little more money. Also considering the CT and VA markets.

Nice! Yeah, scholarship offers will be huge in my decision. I applied to higher ranked schools (still waiting to hear back from most), but it will really all come down to the $$$. Did you apply to UConn and Richmond?

Does anyone have access to the admitted students site? I'm interested in looking at the housing options, but I don't remember seeing info on how to login in my admissions package?

In via phone call today with a lousy scholarship lol. I'm not going since I was accepted to better schools with 3x the amount they are offering.

12k a year. I was shocked since other schools offered me upwards of 20k a year.

Also got in via phone call with a rather low scholarship, $10,000 less per year than Emory offered me.

Out of curiosity what other schools are these? Did you apply late because if you look at the beginning of the thread Cardozo was giving out a ton of money to people and now they're giving people less than Emory(which is a better school) so there has to be an explanation for this? Then again a kid posted a thread a few days ago where they received 52k from Cardozo(maybe they applied early and just didn't make a thread until later in the cycle) and hadn't applied to better schools. This is weird. If this does mean they're running out of money this doesn't look good for my renegotiation efforts:(

Emory, William and Mary, and Northeastern all gave me upwards of 20k a year. I don't know my package from WUSTL yet. I did apply late, about 20 days ago, so maybe that's why.

I was rejected from W+M and received 25k a year from Cardozo(stats are 156/3.5, if you got into Emory and W+M I'm going to assume your stats are north of mine by a bit). I'm almost positive the reason you got so little money is because you applied late and the school just doesn't have much money left. In terms of applying this cycle is basically over.

I'm not so sure about that. I applied 1/5 (so not much before KDavis), and I got accepted last week with 52,000/year. I wonder if it's numbers? Or YP? Or that they have no stips for schollys so they give less? (I got full rides at similar ranked schools, and I think the reason I didn't get a full ride at Cardozo is because there aren't stips)

That just makes this weirder. Emory's LSAT median is 6 points higher than Cardozo's and their GPA is 0.33 higher. You could write it off and say maybe KDavis just did something to really upset them but in this very thread we have PaytonAlexandra who also received less from Cardozo than Emory. Cardozo does give out more money than Cardozo according to the 509's but both of these posters were probably above Cardozo's 75th's to have gotten so much money from Emory.

Did you apply to any better schools? Because if you didn't Cardozo might think it more likely you would think it's your best bet than someone with acceptances to Emory and/or W+m. If you applied and were admitted to better schools that possibility dies to. This is weird lol, I guess some things in life are just mysteries!

Yeah, I applied to higher ranked schools. I just got $13,000/year at OSU and am still waiting for scholly I for from Iowa. I applied to some other schools ranked similarly to those, but I'm still waiting to hear back. I did apply to 5 schools in NYC though, so I wonder if that shows my interest in the area/school? I also applied to St. John's and Brooklyn, but I don't know if that mattered?

I did apply late I guess, early January, but I applied to all schools at the same time and still received much more from Emory and W&M so it seems weird to me.

Yeah that makes sense, I guess those two posters are one of those mysteries we'll never know, there just seems like there's no logical reason for them to have received so little money. You might be on to something with applying to multiple schools in an area convincing people you're serious but I can't see it as basis for such an illogical decision. Also you shouldn't go to SJU no matter what(unless they gave you an unconditional free ride which I don't think they do).

Are you going to attempt to negotiate? Or did you decide on SJU? SJU gave me double Cardozo, but I am trying to negotiate.

I don't think I could negotiate away stips, and I don't think Cardozo will budge if I give them SJU numbers just because of the lack of stips, but I could be wrong. Out of Cardozo, Brooklyn, and SJU, I prefer Cardozo. I'm still waiting to hear back from other higher ranked schools. But money is definitely going to be a big factor in my decision. Has anyone done this who could give us advice?
