Well folks, Davis is definitely NOT where I saw myself going three months ago. I got into higher ranked schools I knew a lot more about, including ones that gave comparable/better aid. But after visiting this weekend, my deposit went down on Monday. My partner and I fell in love with the town and the school and the area, and I'm excited to be an aggie! I hope to see some of y'all there in the Fall.

CONGRATS! I love the town too, which is why I'm hoping to clear this waitlist. I have shown a lot of interest in the school and sent in a LOCI. Any other advice would be appreciated!

It reminds me of my hometown and I wanted to get away from that. It doesn't seem to offer the amenities that I was looking for though the campus itself seems very nice. Also their recent bar passage rate from 2016 is making me question it too. Plus, the tour guide didn't do a great job of selling the law school.

Please understand that I was looking for something different and I should have known better.

That's funny, and true. Davis considers itself to be culturally part of the Bay Area, despite being in the Central Valley. And the CV just sucks.

Thank you !! I already committed to NDLS. GW I gave up a few days ago. Davis is nice, but I do want to have the opportunity to go into a market not in CA if that's where life leads me. Also the whole thing about it being like Berkeley in Fresno is soooo true (I've lived in both those places). I need something new.

Thank you !! I already committed to NDLS. GW I gave up a few days ago. Davis is nice, but I do want to have the opportunity to go into a market not in CA if that's where life leads me. Also the whole thing about it being like Berkeley in Fresno is soooo true (I've lived in both those places). I need something new.

That's fair enough, especially since you've lived there and know you want to try something different. My current career has moved me to NYC, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Montreal, and now Seattle. It's an awesome experience getting to see different parts of the country so I can definitely appreciate wanting to live somewhere new. Good luck and enjoy NDLS!
