In via email today. Very excited.

Does anyone know whether travel is covered for admitted students day?

I just emailed them about this, so hopefully they get back to me Tuesday! I'll definitely update once I hear back. I bought my ticket yesterday because Kayak said it is highly likely that the tickets for the 3/4 weekend will be going up by more than $20-- but of course it could vary depending on where your traveling from.

Thanks! I'm coming from upstate. Hoping for a flight reimbursement (otherwise, about a 7hr drive).

Why is Fordham asking for 2016 Tax data on their financial aid application form? All other schools asked for 2015 data; and I thought, based on deadlines and typical offer dates for grants/deposit date that they'd want this application completed sooner than later...and not after April 1st.

Does anyone plan to wait until April to complete this form then?

They got back to me in regards to travel stipends. Up to $300 reimbursement for ASD and up to $200 for individual visits. Super stoked about this considering I got my ticket for $265, so I'll have my flight paid for (plus some of my hotel). If anyone wants the whole email, PM me.

What's the general consensus about ASD? Looks like there's three of them, I was feeling like I'd rather go to the one on 3/4 - thinking it'd be bigger since it's a Saturday. But in the invite for the one on 2/3, it says there are academic sessions and a mock class.

I'm assuming all of them would be generally the same right? This is also assuming that we all get invited to each one?

i rsvp'd for the 2/3 one. I want to go and I hope my boss gives me off. I wouldnt assume their would be a class for the Saturday one, but I could be wrong.

Yea, I'm going to the 3/4 one. I just started a new job and I'm already going to have to take off 3/3 to fly out. I don't see why they wouldn't do a mock class on the Saturday one. Probably a good question to e-mail them about (difference between weekday ASD and weekend ASD)

Does anyone have any idea how many of the people whose applications were placed on hold until February will be admitted?

Does Fordham not have UR on the status checker? I applied in Dec, and got an updated status but still complete in mid January. Should I take that as being UR?

Did your status checkers change at all?

I was first marked incomplete 1/4/17. Emailed them, no response but it changed to complete 1/5/17....and no movement since then.

Yeah, the status date changes about twice before a decision. That first complete date doesn't count though.

Thanks. I guess the next follow up is whether it's normal to not have any movement for this long? Other people's date changes seem like Fordham updates the dates fairly routinely.

Mine just always said application received to Application Complete then to Congratulations you have been admitted. I seen that I was accepted through the status checker before I received the email.

Technical application question -

Priority deadline is Wednesday, and I'm planning on submitting by then. My recommenders have promised to submit their letters by 11:59pm on Wednesday (very stressful). I want to make sure that my side of things is submitted on time, so is it possible for me to submit the application earlier in the day and then have them submit their letters later? Or, once I submit it, will they be unable to submit their letters? I'd appreciate any guidance on this!

You can submit your stuff at any time, however be advised that Fordham won't look at your app until it has everything including your letters. For example I applied around 12/15 with everything done on my end but one of my profs didn't submit their lor until a week later so Fordham didn't begin to review my app until they received her letter.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
