'15-'16 admission cycle
Long story short, I got into American University with a 156 and a 3.5 from my University but a 2.6 or something from my community college days. They offered me 45k scholarship and the school wouldn't budge as far as offering more money. I turned them down after they snagged my $900 seat deposit (sick) because even with a scholarship I was looking at around 200k of debt for a mid 60 ranked school. So, I'm buckling down and studying for a retake this December to give the next cycle a go. I don't have any major expenditures and I'm single so overall, waiting a year may have hurt the ego a bit but I'll be fine in the long run. Shooting for U of Washington or UT Austin if I can swing it or U of Arizona or ASU because that instate tuition is juicy.

Can't remember the last time someone created a new thread to post a soliloquy.

In all seriousness, this post should be in the Class of 2020 thread I believe. Welcome to the forums!

Lol!! I actually quite enjoyed this reflection piece. Very refreshing.Nichilismo wrote:Long story short, I got into American University with a 156 and a 3.5 from my University but a 2.6 or something from my community college days. It's probably better you retake so you don't have to hear TLS junkies tell you to inevitably retake. Good move. But probably retake after your retake ya know?
